Purchased this because my Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe was not working. Hubby installed it and my Hooverl now works like new. Would purchase again.

$70 part. Better than $170 for another scrubber. Now it works like it’s new again.

La parte superior se quita para poder adaptarlo a los diferentes modelos y fue sencillo colocar la pieza. La lavadora volvió a funcionar perfectamente y hasta el momento no hemos tenido problemas.

Have the Hoover Power Scrub Elite. Its the part # I needed but it lacked the 2 screw holes to hold the “Quick Clean/Deep Clean” Pump Switcher in place. so its forever on whatever the default it. Screw area Shown by arrows on the original/old part. The tab to keep the long gray “suction” switcher broke off easily when installing. Shown by circle. I “MacGuyvered” it to work but we’ll essentially have to get a new carpet cleaner w/in a month or so. But it got the brushes to work again; just cant switch between “Quick Clean/Deep Clean”Had this cleaner for 2.5 yrs. Worked ok. Power button broke w/in a yr. Was such a hassle to deal w/ a replacement; just worked w/ it. Leaked frequently. Prob wont get another Hoover carpet cleaner to replace this one.

The part packaged without anything to protect the part and screw was installed incorrectly. Had return the part and wait for replacement part. Maybe I should've gotten the bearing and repaired assembly instead it would have been faster and $38.00 cheaper at this point. I will when the new part arrives. UPDATE This is the 2nd damaged part I received I returned the 1st one. The packaging was much better this time. It appears someone tightened a screw to tight when during the assembly process and cracked one of the mounts holds the assembly together. I install the assembly anyway and the brushes still do not work. Decided to cut my losses and buy a new carpet cleanerDecided to cut my losses and buy a new carpet cleaner. Wasted enough time return in the 1st one. I photos of the first and second parts.

One day I pulled my Hoover turbo scrub carpet cleaner out to clean and discovered the brushes weren’t spinning so I check the filter screen under the front shield and it still didn’t work so I called Hoover, the lady on the phone said if they sent me anew machine I would have to pay 70$ for shipping, she also said I could take the purchase receipt and take it to a sweeper store which would fix it for free, the lady mentioned the turbine so instead of driving 20 minutes to the sweeper store I went to amazonAgain amazon didn’t disappoint the part came quickly with prime delivery and I put the product in and it works brand new might be better than the one that I took out of the machine, and at 20$ I don’t mind if I have to change the part yearly

This fit's my hoover spinscrub 50, i bought this because the inner white plastic cog had the teeth worn off, which i am assuming will happen with this one, since when I opened it, it is the same white plastic cog. The assembly is new, when I opened it, it is well greased. My only concern is for the white plastic cog that it is made with will wear down after a few uses.

So I wasn't sure how long my brushes weren't turning on my carpet cleaner.I just happened to tip it up and look and noticed it.Upon removing the original turbine assembly, it looks like it could have not been working for sometime and I didn't even realize it!Once I replaced the turbine and now the brushes are spinning, I don't remember hearing the sound it makes now! So who knows how long I had just been dragging the brushes over the carpet!Since rust was the reason the turbine failed and the bearings basically rusted away, I took the new turbine apart and added a lot more grease to the bearings to completely coat them and the shafts. The amount of grease that came installed on it was quite pathetic. No wonder it rusted! So my tip is to definitely take it apart and apply grease yourself. If anything it should extend the life of the new turbine.

Saw a how to video for resolving the frozen scrubbing brush problem on our Hoover carpet cleaner. Found this replacement part on Amazon for less than thirty dollars (could even match up the model number from the photo). Ordered and received the part in about a week. Installed the replacement turbine assembly in about ten minutes and the cleaner works like new. Nice alternative to buying a new cleaner.UPDATE: Still working after three years though the brunches do still freeze up if the cleaner sits for a few months. I use an Allen wrench (3/8 in?) to apply light pressure to spin the to brushes. If they still won't spin, pop the brush assembly off (it snaps on and off, connected at each end) and insert the wrench into the opening for the plastic drive shaft. Try turning again with more pressure. This has worked for me .... so far. See photos.Update #2: After milking this $27 emplacement part along for another year and a half, the plastic gears are worn to the point of no return and the metal drive continues to freeze up with rust. I'd go this route again but the same part is now $72. A whole new machine (on sale an Amazon} is only $120.
