While the belt does fit, it is half as wide and smaller in circumference than the original belt. As a result the table strobes out at about 1.2% too fast. It is audibly faster to even the uninitiated, but not objectionably for some. Myself, having perfect pitch, it is very noticeable.This was checked using a proper strobe disc and light source and pitch checked via digital strobe tuner.The proper belt can be had, but runs $18.00 to $22.00, so this was a calculated gamble fthat the replacement at such a low price would be accurate. It is not.The L-514 is a very decent entry level table. But as with all belt driven audio with an AC synchronous motor, belt thickness, width and circumference is critical as there is no way to adjust motor speed. It is locked to line frequency.Get the correct belt, be happy. It is not this one.

Got my late '70s turntable working again. Make sure to put a few drops of machine oil in the oil holes of the motor.
