If you have ever had to use the proper "Air Cast" Brand you won't use anything else. This one was light, but when i tried it on, it wobbled a bit, and I found the assembly wasnt user friendly. My suggestion would be to spend the extra 20/30$ and go with "Air Cast". The comfort is way better and much more sturdy!!

This boot was a life saver after stress fractures to my second and third metatarsals! On top of that I also have equinus, which means I naturally want to walk on my toes. This is what caused the fracture in the first place; and the boot I left the office with only made the pain worse. To rant about what I left the office with is a huge tangent but I am so please to have found this product after weeks of increased pain. The boot is solid, but light weight, easy to walk in, kept my foot in the proper position, easy to put on and comfortable to work in. Even the inflation feature works! The only minor problems I have is sometimes the boot causes a bit of blistering and pain on the sides of foot, but this is easily fixed by adding extra pads or wearing an extra sock. It also isn’t totally slip proof, it has some traction but if you step in water...be careful! You could fall. But overall; this boot has aided me tremendously in my healing, I have much of my mobility back and a lot less pain! The value is amazing as well.

This boot cut recovery time in half compared to the time my doctor gave. So I will give you a detailed analysis as a TY.Top Plastic Shield: What would you do without it, it helps keep bones flat/straight My foot felt a great deal better with it on.Extra padding fillers: Thank you perfect.Padding of the boot: Great design durable.Pump: Whoa very nice hugs ur ankle like a mold. I didn't really need that but used it for a little anyway, because other than the ankle filling with air their is on strap running along the side.Straps: Nice thin design. the strap near the toe I think its installed upside down. (Run out of Velcro not strap) But it still works just fine maybe its too much. With a broken pinky I learned there is really nothing you can do. You cant even sister to the next toe as my other toes are much taller so basically I'm sistering it to my foot. but it doesn't help at all with pressure/movement. It just keeps it straight I guess and relieve pain. This boot kept it all snug and from moving why it kept me totally mobile, while relieving the pain much better, Just perfect.Seller I didn't need to call them, but product came in a week earlier thank promised, Thank you so much for that!

I wasn't offered any kind of boot at my doctor's office when I tore the ligaments in my left ankle (and not for the first time). I was told to buy one, and I decided on this particularly because other reviewers said it was lightweight and comfortable. It is definitely light, and I'm glad of that. I bought a medium because I wear a women's size 11 shoe, and the size is right for me. As for comfort, I think it depends on how much standing one has to do. I need to walk as much as possible because I have back problems, too, and I get a sore foot after about 30 minutes. However, it's not unbearable. I've put some of the extra padding pieces on the bottom, and that has helped. Because it's still summer weather, in the 90s where I live, the boot is somewhat hot. I plan to wash the padding soon because of that.

I was wearing another boot, but as my swelling eased, and I walked on it, it got loose and couldn't get it snug enough. I needed to try a different boot. I broke my big toe pretty bad 3 weeks ago, and it's going to take a while more to hopefully heal. The best thing about this boot is that it's much lighter than the other one. It's comfortable with a few issues. I have thick legs, so it's not easy to wrap the top part of liner with the bulb thing to the middle, to fit thru the plastic frame. It's doable, but tricky. Also, the part that goes on the top tends to shift forward / down, even if you have it positioned right. Wearing the toe cushion might help, but my feet sweat enough without it. So I've decided to just let it stick out. Tired of battling it. It takes practice to get boot set up just right, and harder when you have arthritis in back and hips, like I do. That's why I took off a star. Wish I could've just taken half star. The air thing definitely is nice and keeps the boot from moving around. Like an ankle hug. It seems to breathe and wick sweat way better than my other one (brace ability, no air). The liner & my sock don't even feel soggy. Just have to dry the cushion under it so it doesn't get smelly. As for fit, I wear a 9-10.5 women's, 7.5-8.5 men's, width C-D. I got this boot in medium. Width is good & should work for at least D width and some swelling/bandaging. My (broken) big toe comes to about an inch behind the front edge. I will probably need to wear this for at least another week, probably 2, as it's healing slowly. So, all in all a good boot. Keeps ankle and foot / toe protected and mostly immobilized (less so for toes) . Comfortable, adjustable, and the sole height seems a little lower than my other boot. I wear a hiking shoe on the other foot. It's not level, but it's close. If you have a sprained ankle, broken foot bone, broken toe, especially big toe, etc, this is the boot. It's a little more expensive but in the couple days I've worn it, I'm happy with it, and think you will be, too.Update: I just discovered that the air pump bulb is just velcroed on, so it can be moved on its own, without having to over-tighten the liner. (duh!) you can very gently pull the valve knob over just a little bit. For me, at least, it was enough, and that helped line everything up, including the plastic top frame thing. Now it doesn't hang over my toes. So this now goes to a 5 Star review!

I have a continuing problem with my ankle: an old injury that makes it vulnerable to sprains, swelling, and pain. As a result, I have become familiar with the discomfort and dysfunction experienced while wearing a traditional boot. I have several knee high boots that are do heavy for me to walk in that they strain the knee of the leg wearing the cast. These heavy boots are also too high to be accommodated easily by the other leg. In essence, wearing a boot presents a conflict by protecting one ankle while straining and possibly damaging the rest of the body.If an “air cast” is as confining and heavy as a cast, it isn’t much of an improvement for most injuries.I needed a light-weight, less confining, and smaller boot. I found it with this short boot and I love it. It is extremely light weight so it doesn’t hurt my knee and hip to walk in it. It is short but tall enough to isolate, straighten, and protect my ankle. It is a reasonable height such that I regular shoe can reasonably balance my other leg.It has a better air pump device than my other boots have had.All in all, I am very pleased with this boot. I now have the freedom to move about and be active with the boot on, protecting and allowing my ankle to heal; which was not possible with the larger, heavier, taller boots (I have 3 different brands of these from past experiences); and is, after all, the whole point of wearing a boot. Please note that I am rather small, 5’2” 102 lbs and this boot is a blessing.I have only had it a week, so I can’t attest to how well it will hold up overtime. However, it has all the necessary padding and straps, has a comfortable slightly rolling outer sole, the air cast mechanism works well, and seems well made. Just what I needed and wanted.
