All was great and as expected except, you cannot tighten the barrel clamp screw enough for it not to slightly slide up and down on my model 94. I’m sure it is not installer error. Like I said it is slight. And still works well enough to where I will not be fixing this issue.

Fits, looks good, works well. Only dislike is that you have to pull the mag tube off to slip it on, but that's the rifle design and it's not difficult. Good time to make sure everything is clean down there.

Awesome product for my marlin 1894. It fits a little tight on the barrel, but its definitely not going to move. Great product!

I bought this Uncle Mikes Swivels QD 115 CF 1" Black sling swivel package so that I could attach a front swivel mount to the magazine tube on my Uberti/Cimmaron 1873 lever-action "Saddle Shorty" rifle in .357 magnum. Due to the slim clearance between the octagonal barrel and the magazine tube, the metal loop would not fit. However, I used a Dremel with a cutoff wheel to slide through the top of the loop to split it into two pieces, sanded down the edges to smooth it out, and then attached it over the mag tube (with a single wrap of electrician's tape underneath to prevent scratches/wear on the tube) and fastened it in place with blue loctite on the threaded insert. It fits great, holds securely, and does not wiggle or slide out of position!Overall, this product seems well designed/well made. As other reviewers have noted, the front swivel doesn't swivel freely over the mag tube mounting stud, but in my case, this doesn't pose any functional problem. It just tends to hold the swivel straight out/down from the stud instead of letting it fold flatter against the barrel. I'm using a stiff leather sling, so even if it did fold flat, the sling will still hang out and away from the rifle stiffly anyway. However, if this is a problem for others, they can simply give the tip of the swivel stud a few licks with a file (and then a quick dab of paint or bluing to restore the black finish) and it should then fold as expected. I deducted one star only because of this minor fit and finish issue. All in all, this seems to be a very secure, easy-to-install solution for attaching a front swivel sling stud without needing to drill into the stock on a magazine tube-equipped rifle. I have read that Uberti uses the same size magazine tube for all of its .357 to .45 colt chamberings, and if so, that means this kit should fit any of those lever-action rifles just fine with the minor modification I described above. Of course, Uncle Mike's also offers another kit with a split magazine loop/band that would save you the trouble of modification, but based on pictures, that one looked like it doesn't reach as far around the magazine tube as my modified version does. I'm sure it probably holds fine, but I was more comfortable cutting this one down and leaving as much material as possible to wrap around the mag tube.I hope that info was helpful for anyone else with an Uberti/Cimmaron lever-action rifle in .357 to .45 colt.

Make sure you measure your feed tube first, I did an it made a difference in the fit. I still had to use a filler for a firm fit but it did the trick for my purposes on my Winchester model Legacy 94A 24" chambered .357. The filler I used was mole skin that had a stick on backing. It helped to anchor the tube mount securely and will come off when and if I need to clean out the tube. Again shipping was great on time and the product works as advertised, thanks Uncle Mike.

I was finally successful in getting a sling on my Model 94! I had a rough time getting it installed as most everything went wrong. First I have had my Model 94 for about 30 years and it was used when I got it. Two of the screws that must be removed from the mag tube would not budge. I had to finally use Krol penetrating oil and Vice Grips to hold a small screw driver to remove these two stubborn screws. I then put the Uncle Mike's sleeve on and proceeded to put the three screws back in. I can tell you from experience that you need to pay strict attention when you take the mag plug off. The plug has two holds in it but it will only work one way. I spent a lot of time trying to screw the plug back in with the wrong hole on top. I really felt good when all the screws were back in as I thought all I had to do was tighten the sleeve up and install the swivel. My good feeling didn't last long as when I put the screw in the sleeve and tightened it up as far as it would go and it was too big for the mag tube! I realized that I would have to put something between the sleeve and mag tube so that it would fit. I decided to cut a small piece of clear plastic from the package that the swivels and sleeve came in. I cut a piece the same diameter as the sleeve and half the circumference of the sleeve and was finally able to get it under the sleeve. This made the sleeve almost too little but I was able to get the screw into both holes in the sleeve and it is tight enough to hold up. I then installed the sling. I have to admit that my 30-30 now really looks sharp with a sling!I would recommend using the Uncle Mike's split sleeve to avoid all the problems I had. Amazon sells two types and both of them have a smaller diameter and does not require you to undo the mag tube.
