It would be nice to have a longer length for the price but I didn't buy this for my car. I ended up cutting pieces of this to use for electrical standoff on outlets. It also works well for towel holder rods to prevent them from squeaking or making noise.Silicon hoses are great tools for many things. You just need to think outside of the box.

I bought this years ago to replace some of the brittle rubber hoses on my 2004 Saab 9-5. More than 2 years later it is still intact, it reduced some of the vibrations at idle, and the turbo was able to spin more freely. One note: 5 feet is relatively short. After doing most of the main 4mm hoses you won't have any left over. I recommend 10 feet.

Update 10/20 Zero issues, worked out great!1/20 Too soon to rate durability, but initial quality is impressive. Successfully replaced two vacuum lines in an ‘01 VW Jetta turbo system, otherwise only available in an expensive assembly set from auto parts stores/dealerships. Flexible, but strong. No crushing or collapsing. Saved me $150. VagCom happy, & passed emissions.

Been slowly replacing all the hosing in my 1992 Volvo 740 with this stuff, looks nice and feels much higher quality than the hoses that they replace.

Very easy to install, just cut-to-fit and replace your old, cracked vacuum lines. Took me 15-20 minutes to replace all the hoses in my car. Looks great and dresses up the engine bay a bit, too.

Works just as you would hope. Thick wall and large temperature range make it great for diesels. The 4mm fit great on my 1998 Jetta TDI 1.9 mk3 AHU.
