This part has worked flawlessly for over a year. Thought I was going to have replace my fridge in our 2005 Fleetwood Revolution. PTL!

The previous temp monitor (which was also a replacement unit) failed and I purchased this as its replacment. My thermo couple sensor had also failed so I replaced everything all at once. The instructions were good, even though I already knew what needed doing, and the entire operation went smoothly. Our Norcold refrigerator worked like a champ again.

So I bought this in hopes of fixing our Norcold 2118 fridge in our Grand design momentum. It was a long shot that maybe the thermo probe quite working or the control board over heated at some point. At 40 bucks I couldn't say no to trying, because 5k for a new fridge was out of the question. Well I'm glad to say it fixed the fridge 100%. It fit prefectly into position and plugged right in with no modifications.Make sure when you have the heat tube vent apart everything is clean of debris all the way to the top.

This unit comes with all new wiring but if your wiring is good, there's no need to change them out. That said, the shield does not fit under the boiler so you end up installing it sitting at an angle but that's really no big deal as it doesn't impact the operation of the thermal limit switch. I am overall pleased with the product! It's nice to know I won't ever have to reset the switch with magnets again!

I have no idea why the original thermocouple failed. I hadn't used it in about 3 years and it had only been used for, at most 14 to 21 days prior to failure. Maybe those things fail with no-use, I don't know, but I digress. The old thermocouple was testing open. The new one was under 5 or 10 ohms. I did go ahead and replace the control module aswell as the thermocouple since I couldn't buy just the thermocouple. (and perhaps the old control unit had a defect that caused the thermocouple to fail-just don't know)Anyway, the refrigerator now works and the 12vdc is now restored to the refrigerator control board... The new cover will make it much harder for water to hit the HTS as well...

Does the job on my fridge in my aging RV. Much cheaper than OEM and far easier to obtain.
