About this item

  • Thread Tap Size: Metric thread size: M1.4 x 0.3 (right hand); thread length: 9mm / 0.35"; total length: 36mm / 1.42"; square shank width: 2.4mm / 0.09"; accuracy: H2
  • Straight Flute Tap: The tapping tool adopts straight flute design, clear threads, and right hand cutting direction. Threading tap provides rapid downward chip removal to achieve efficient thread cutting, suitable for processing through holes or shallow holes.
  • Wide Applications: Screw thread tap can create new threads or re-thread damaged or jammed threads. Widely used for most metals, iron plate, copper, zinc, alloy steel, abrasive steel, A3 steel, stainless steel, etc.. Add proper tapping oil for higher quality internal threads and more durable taps.
  • Durable Material & Finish: M35 high speed steel with cobalt taps offer high hardness, good toughness, wear resistance, and excellent cutting performance.
  • Tips: Machine tap is used with drill presses, tapping/CNC/milling machines. NOT recommended for hand and electric drill tapping. The higher the hardness, the slower the speed. Drill the holes with a twist drill bit first, then tap with a thread tap. The tapping angle should be 90 degrees vertical and stable.

Descriptions:
1. The tapping tool adopts straight flute design, clear threads, and right hand cutting direction. Threading tap provides rapid downward chip removal to achieve efficient thread cutting, suitable for processing through holes or shallow holes.
2. Screw thread tap can create new threads or re-thread damaged or jammed threads. Widely used for most metals, iron plate, copper, zinc, alloy steel, abrasive steel, A3 steel, stainless steel, etc.. Add proper tapping oil for higher quality internal threads and more durable taps.
3. M35 high speed steel with cobalt taps offer high hardness, good toughness, wear resistance, and excellent cutting performance.
4. Machine tap is used with drill presses, tapping/CNC/milling machines. Recommended feed speed: ordinary steel: 6-15m/min; harder steel material: 5-10m/min; stainless steel: 2-7m/min; cast iron: 8-10m/min. NOT recommended for hand and electric drill tapping.
Tips:
1. Control speed according to material hardness. The higher the hardness, the slower the speed. Drill the holes with a twist drill bit first, then tap with a thread tap. The tapping angle should be 90 degrees vertical and stable.
2. The tapping depth should not exceed 1.5 times the diameter of the tap (for example, the diameter M5x0.8 is about 5mm, and the depth should not exceed 7.5mm.)
