I am using these as mounting points in PVC sheets and they work very well. They are cheap and you are getting what you pay for in this product. 5/16 drill bit is perfect. I am using PVC material that is softer than most woods especially hard wood like oak. So far they have all installed easily and none stripped. But again you get what you pay for. The only reason I am not giving this 5 out of 5 is because the packaging is cheap as can be a little Ziplock bag that's honestly terrible and there is no tool with it. If there was better packaging and a tool I would say 5 out of 5.

Material used is kinda cheap and the hex is prone to stripping, even with new hex drivers. Lucky I had more than enough spares for the job.

I used these for my subwoofer box with MDF. Worked fantastic with the hex bolts to match. Just have to make sure subwoofer hole is not oversized where the woofer can move around in hole. You want the sub to sit in hole nice an tight which will allow you to have the necessary room for these counter sunk fasteners.

I use inserts all the time. This brand is bad and they crack when setting them in the wood. I was using them on very soft wood and they cracked. I also drilled the hole bigger. That helped but some still cracked then you cant get them out. I will never use this brand again.

belli, ma la filettatura è molto profonda, quindi i perni standard non si possono usare perché mordono solo pochi filetti, non ho potuto usarli.

Brass inserts are very likely to break if you try to wrench them in. Learned from a forum it's best to turn them in by hand first as far as possible and then turn a screw into the insert partially, take it out, then use a wrench to fully tighten the insert in.
