I was hesitant to use such a cheap drill bit on my cargo van to bore out holes for rivet nuts but this has been a god send. I have drilled out about 25 holes to 9mm and each one fits the rivnuts snug. I definitely got my moneys worth at a fraction of the cost of a hardware store.

I work with steel for a living. I know enough to use lubricant when drilling metal. that being said this thing dulled out after the first hole. Softest drill bit i have ever used!

None of the steps are the right size. 2.77mm, 3.79mm, 4.85mm, 5.79mm, 6.75mm, 7.85mm, 8.79mm, 9.70mm, 11.86mm, 12.79mm. I need something exact and this is not it. It does cut plastic very nicely but not to the right size.

Would buy another one if I need a new one for different sized grommets holes to make in my mason jar tops! Much better than having a lot of individual bits and it was easier to get the perfect fit because of all the choices of sizes!

As anyone who works on cars can vouch, the metric measurement system is all that is used for fasteners whether a car is foreign or domestic. I needed to drill holes for a project that was using metric fasteners and it is virtually impossible to find a metric step bit locally. This bit fit the bill and made nice quality holes. Can't go wrong with it and nice to keep in the toolbox should you ever need it.

I've only used this once, to drill a hole in the bottom floor of my Ooni pizza oven. Works perfectly. Gold/brass finish looks a little scrapped off, but otherwise, the bit looks perfectly intact. I'm sure it'll work fine for awhile.

I've used these for several years. They don't grab and deform thin and soft materials like sheet aluminum. The step above the size you need will clean burrs off as well. Just be careful you get the bit stopped before the hole is too large. Work great on plastics, even brittle ones like plexiglass that shatter with a twist drill.

I drilled through a steel strip with no issues. Got the job done. And, this drill bit is quite affordable, too.
