I installed this in a kitchen faucet in 2020, and it worked well, but three years later the faucet started leaking (when in the "off" position AND directed either toward "full hot" or "full cold." Now, in 2024, I'm buying another one. Is this the "new normal" for Kohler products -- replacing cartridge valves every 3-4 years? I don't know, but I'm not impressed.

The kit fit perfectly for a 20+ year old bathtub faucet, shipped next day, installed the following;stop the leak.

Our Kohler shower faucet suddenly started to leak (after 28 years of perfect service) at a rate of a gallon every five minutes on a weekend. I had to keep the main shutoff and there wasn't anyplace that had it in stock.Ordered on Sunday morning and it was delivered Sunday evening! Genuine part and well worth the premium for expedited delivery.Amazon came through in a way I'd never thought with an essential plumbing part.

This original valve was in the home built back in 1993. Others I have replaced were a real pain due difficulty in locating. I was unable to locate at 'big box' stores. The valve started leaking, so I went to Amazon to check on replacing it, and discovered this item. Perfect fit and works great!!!

Went to other stores and they said Kohler replacement parts were not available to them so I went to Kohler web site and found it. It would have taken several days to get here and the cost was higher. Decided to give this a try thinking it was a non oem part. Come to find out it was and stopped the leak. Recommend ordering the small tube of lube with it. It does come with some but definitely not any extra

I've rebuilt many Delta faucets. Thought I could handle this Kohler. But it doesn't go together easily. At first I broke a new rubber ring. Then I had to develop a way to do this. Holding it in a vise was the start, and then carefully working and rotating the cartridge to allow the rings, one at a time, to move into position was the key. I did it, and the shower is working fine. But, next time, I will buy an entire new cartridge.
