They're pretty good, sounds pretty similar to regular blue box reeds but ever so slightly punchier if that makes any sense. They have a pretty fast break in period, about 3ish hours so if thats a thing for you then these are definitely your thing.

I bought these for my college jazz band and they are wonderful! They help give my sax a richer jazz sound.

They’re ok, not for me tho. They give me too much of a buzzy sound and not enough of the warm deeper tones I want. For me it’s about getting the balence of a rich warm sound, that a lot has some brightness to it and can project

I always played on the ZZ reeds on my tenor so when I switched over to bari, I decided to continue with them. They still are my favorite reeds, providing me with a great and vibrant sound.

these reeds are perfect for jazz, blues and Big Band sound. they are a little loud for a concert band type of performance. I had three out of the box perform concert ready and the other two were ready with a little manipulation.

Reviewing something as personal as reed selection is not a reason to buy or not buy reeds. I have been playing for 20 years. I recently decided to switch up my setup on my bari. I purchased a new open tip metal mouthpiece and the other brand of reeds I was using was not cutting it. I first tried the Vandoren Java and found I didn't like the sound. So I tried the ZZ's. They are perfect. The box I got I only had one reed that wasn't good. Out of 5 that is a really good ratio of good to bad reeds. However, word of warning. Everyone is different. What works for me might not work for you. Also, don't just get reeds because someone else says, "These are the best!" My best advice is to try multiple manufactures, multiple types, and multiple strengths before settling on what you like best.

I love these reeds. Very responsive and bright. They're perfect for all levels of jazz musicians. I've always been a fan of the cut of these reeds. I play with a Selmer C* mouthpiece and they make a great pair.

My son says he loves these reeds. The sound is so much better than with the last reeds we bought him. He loves playing the bari sax, anyway, but now he loves it even more--if that's possible. They came in way before they were estimated to and were exactly how they were described. Would recommend these to anyone who plays a baritone sax!
