I needed these saddles for my sweet girls. They have worked great since with got them with zero problems. They are thick and sturdy and hold on well despite my rooster still trying to get on! I only had on hen manage to get it off but that's just because of how she is not because of the product. These have worked great with dirt and weather and everything else so far, I'm very happy with them.

I’ve just started back up again with chickens after many years. And I may keep a rooster and have some breeding going on. I’ve known from the past that sometimes roosters can get a little overzealous and create injury on the backs of the hens. I’ve checked out several different types of vests, and some of them are just ill Fitting. I like the design of this vest. It is sturdy without being overbearing for my hen. And I absolutely love the camouflage option lol! I felt the price was reasonable

Sturdy fabric bound with web-type fabric and snaps that fasten easily. These fit my larger breed hens - Orpingtons, Brahmas, ISA Browns, and my larger Ameracaunas, but are a little too big for my Speckled Sussex, Legbars and other slimmer breeds - if they can't get them off, they slide around making it awkward for the hen. The fabric is a little stiff upon opening the package, but rolling between my hands made it more flexible and easier to fit. Getting an apron on a chicken is a two person job in my opinion, and that's the case with these as well. There is no stretch to the straps, so you have to snap them in place once it's on the hen rather than sliding over the wing. The snaps seem to be sturdy and secure, yet they aren't hard to snap. The purple is much more blue - to the extent that I think they sent the wrong color. Wish they fit my smaller birds better as they seem to be the ones that get beat up the most, but still great option for the bigger girls.

Like not a heavy garment. Dislike runs big better for turkeys, and the wrap around the wings. Since covering the backs for protect, in one month feathers started growing back.
