One of the other reviews says that it doesn't expand enough - but it does.It's a bit tricky though.You can put a normal bolt from the top-cap (neither are included) through it, but that won't expand it.Instead, you are supposed to put this thing into the tube - then expand it with a 5/16 hex key. After it's expanded and locked into the tube, you can use the regular bolt and top cap to finish everything off.The only downside to that is that you can easily drop it into the tube, so you might have to install it with the frame on its side or something like that.Overall, really nice!

See the picture: the plug expands to a maximum of just under 22mm (about 7/8"). I don't know what this is fits into, but it isn't a 1 1/8" fork.

Fits a 1 1/8 steer tube just fine. Provides enough grip to preload the headset bearings and it's just long enough to support the stem clamp area. If you run spacers above or below your stem you'll need to be careful to place it in the correct spot.
