Protection Varnish
Lastly, mixed varnish with 10% water well, and brush or spray on the surface of the gold leaf sheets to avoid the oxidation and abrasion.

These are smaller than the gold leaves I have and the seller put each silver foil in 2 sheets of thin paper, like a book - very thoughtful. Because they are smaller, is way easier to work than the gold foil I have (around 5 X 5 inches). I used modelling paste under and also on top to secure the foil on the painting. Love the result.

I really like this product. It was exactly what I thought it would be. It does make quite a mess, so it is a good idea to use it outside.

When using this product it disintegrated into a microscopic cloud that filled the air with silver glitter that was so small and fine I can only describe as an inhalant. I had to shower with my clothes on and vacuum for an hour to rid myself of this Bio Hazard. It's not a metal leaf applicanttion, it's a weapon.

The rose gold is such a pretty color. I used this towards some raised art craft I've been working on. Once it's brushed on, it looks so 'rich' looking. Would definitely buy again.

I foiled an antique mirror. It turned out okay but would have been better if I'd known what I was doing. The foil worked fine. There was parchment between each piece. Only complaint was many of them were broken up and not a full piece. Ultimately didn't matter with the foiling process. The color was muted and not like foil so it looked nice.
