Great jazz stick. Heavy enough to get good contact and cut through, light enough, when it's time to lay back and still be heard. One of my all time "go-to" sticks. NOTE: First time to ever purchase them from Amazon, won't be the last!!

they don't break like the wood tip ones, they have plastic tip so it makes them very sturd.

They ask me to rate durability. Well I haven't used them long enough. Versatility, They are nylon tip sticks. Nothing special. Value for money. They aren't cheap but I think they are worth the money.

They are the perfect length for me and are really quick sticks.

I have a pair of these stick I have been using for five years. They are great for all types of drumming. I have relatively small hands, so they may not work so well for drummers with large hands. They are incredibly durable. I regularly perform rim-shots and they just go on and on.

Love these sticks. I have been using Vic Firth sticks for many years. Arrow straight, and nicely sanded wood. I like how they are consistent from stick to stick over the years. I use the smaller diameter 8's these because I play a Roland electric drum kit, and I don't necessarily need to hit pads so hard to get the volume I want like I used to with acoustic sets. It allows me to add a stick wrap to the base to get a better handle in it without being too bulky. I tried the 8DN's because they are slightly longer than the 8D's. I am 6'6" with long arms, and I guess I appreciate the longer length, and the ability to hit a little harder with these. I'm happy with them, and don't plan to go back to the shorter sticks anytime soon.

I bought these for my son (12 years old - just working on his grade2 - doesn't play in a band). He loves the sound of the nylon tip (he is developing his ear) and likes how these run of the mill sticks feel in his hand. He's has a few pairs of these now and these are his go to sticks when buying new ones. Good for the price.

Vic Firth sticks are very uniform, no deviations, variations, warping, etc., as found with other sticks. Everyone has their favorites styles and sizes. These work well for me. Nylon tips have stayed in place, not flying off as some others do. Grain typically is straight with the length of the sticks, so splintering and shattering are minimized when played hard. Worth the price.

I spent a long while looking for the right sticks after thinking that regular 5A's were to bulky. 7a's were the perfect weight but were noticeably shorter.I tried all sorts of signature sticks before coming across these 8DN's.Lighter and easier to use for quicker stuff than 7A's.Still give a good full sound almost matching the 5A levels.More durable than 7A's.Basically only use these now for all sorts from Blues and musicals, all the way to rock.

I am really digging these sticks. I have been changing the way I am playing to focus on more control in my sound and dynamics and these sticks really help me do that. They are small so if you are needing a lot of volume, then these are not for you. If you are looking for a good stick for small venues, then these will be great.
