Sooo... I saw all the reviews indicating problems with the interface and software in general. They also criticized the throughput of the fan. I purchased it and here are my thoughts:Interface: YES, the touch top interface sounds nice, but it is very difficult to actually operate. Probably due to the lag between touch and visual feedback.Control: I set this up using Alexa Routine's to turn it on at the boys' bedtime, and turn off in the morning. It works great with one MAJOR exception. It apparently does NOT have an absolute orientation. So even though I have it programmed to always start at center and oscillate at 90 degrees, it starts oscillating around whatever spot it stopped at last time. No biggie, each night I just have to rotate it. HOWEVER, I had bought it intending to use the wall mount. Well, that is out the window now because you can't rotate it in the wall mount. MAJOR fail.Throughput: I can see why people think the throughput is pretty measley... but this is an air circulator, not so much a traditional fan. I run it on one level down from max, and I can feel the air stream from across a mid sized room. Plus, you cannot hear a thing from it unless it is on the highest setting of TURBO.Overall, a good product with one serious software flaw... no absolute center or re-orienting. I would rate it higher as a desk fan, but the orienting issue for a wall mount version is pretty much product fatal, in my opinion.

Most importantly, these will squeak if you try to mount them upside down. Maybe if you manage to get them perfectly level and balanced it might work. Hopefully this helps the one other person that would ever want to try this...OtherwiseThese are great for mounting out of the way. Put one in your home gym and easily rotate them towards the equipment you are using. Use them in a small cubicle or work space. This is a pretty unique fan that blows a taller, thin column of air (like any tower fan) but includes a good looking wall mount. These aren't going to blast air 100ft like other vornado fans, but they move a good amount of air.The touch controls work fine, but they aren't immediately obvious or intuitive. Not bad enough to lower the overall rating.

I was very optimistic for this fans features and the Vornado name, due to owning many other Vornado products in my home. Installation hardware was very cheap and ended up needing to use different screws for mounting. Fan performance leaves you feeling underwhelmed considering the price of the product and Vornado reputation, speed and force are very low, even when on turbo. I will be returning this fan and ordering something with better performance and most likely lower price.

My Wife and I like having a bed side fan for a little white noise while we sleep. This fan is VERY quiet on the two lowest settings. Also, being a tower fan, the air is moved in a vertical line for better coverage when we want it blowing on us.

We just got a wood stove and were having trouble with the warm air just kind of coming out of the room its in and stagnating right at the hallway. We needed a way to move that warm air quietly by putting something on the wall. This is so perfect because I can adjust which way it points, how much it oscillates and the speed (couple other things I don't use). The only speed that's kind of noisy is turbo. High is less noisy. Can't really hear medium or low. I love that I can control it with Alexa and the Alexa app. I noticed within hours that it was doing exactly what I wanted it to do in pushing the warm air down the hallway. It will also help move the AC cool air down the hall because the vent is in front of it. Was super easy to set up.Understand that this is not meant to be a fan that blasts air at you, it's meant to move air and it does it well, quietly, and customizably (I don't think that's a word).Bonus for me since it's a frequently returned item, I got it returned but in new shape for less than half price, woopdeedoo. Can recommend for moving air. Know what you're buying.

The fan works, and is Alexa enabled. It’s not a high velocity fan and you can easily get a better fan for half the price. Is it worth packing it up and returning it, not really. Am I going to buy another one, nope. I expected the fan to move more air, it is nice that you can control the oscillation up to 360 degrees and turn it on/off, change oscillation via Alexa. It your looking for something at your desk or on your nightstand your better of with a normal fan your not going to use the features that much. Maybe if you had a situation where you are in different areas of a room and didn’t want to manually adjust the fan all the time… idk

For a small footprint, this fan can blow out a pretty good swath of cooling air. It's not going to take the place of your AC unit or a large floor fan, but it's a good choice for your desk, bedroom or just when you need to get some air circulating. The unit is pretty sleek and simply designed. I like that the plug/block is a separate piece, so if you have to move it around or store the unit you're not tripping over cords in the process. For a small vertical blade opening, the fan still pushes out a fairly strong breeze once you choose your oscillating speed and range. With just a swipe of your finger around the led top, you decide how wide the angle of motion will be...that's fun and kind of cool. Be aware it's super sensitive tho, so if you accidentally tap it or hit it during the day you may send it spinning in another direction. Not a big deal, but it happens.Syncing up with Alexa was the usual struggle. I got it to work, but third party equipment is what it is when you're trying to get your phone to locate the fan. Took a few tries but now it works. I've had a number of Vornado appliances over the years, so I'm sure this one will also be reliable.
