Installed in 3 hours, went to start my truck and the check engine light started flashing. Checked with my scan tool and it says random / multiple cylinder misfire detected. STFT maxed out at +50%. Pulled everything apart to ensure the spider was routed correctly and it is. Just buy OEM.

The F.I. spider assembly worked ok but the included gaskets are IMO sub par AND didn't fit well. Glad I also ordered a Fel Pro gasket set in addition to this product. So far the injector repair is working ok.Replacing the F.I. spider is not TOO difficult but requires some time and patience There are several gotchas that could occur if you don't follow the recommended routing of the spider fuel tubes. Please read the included instructions carefully, especially about the correct tube routing and installation of the fuel lines retainer to the spider assy. Installation requires a variety of different tools including some special wrenches. Wasn't my 1st F.I. spider replacement

Received on time and everything was included. Only issue was the o ring for the injector was the wrong size, but contacted tamerx and they are sending the correct o ring. Great customer service!! Will definitely use them again for future needs.

I originally bought the cheaper version of this style for about $100 to do the job but quickly realized that was a bad idea. The hoses were not maluable at all and when I put them in the holes and pushed it into place the jector ports and hose broke off. I was able to click it back together but it did it again under the tension needed to get to its resting position. So I certainly didn't want to do the job again when that one failed as it would. I removed it, returned it and found this one. It included the gaskets I was going to need to buy anyways for about $30 more. So go the cheap route with a likely faulty system for $130. Or this with everything needed for like $50 more!! You'll thank yourself for getting this and the money saved on the tow needed.

This part installed well as I took my time and did not force anything. I used my old bracket that held the old pop it style injectors and the new injector body fit but even with grease around the rubber seal, it was very hard to get the manifold to slide over the central injector body with the gasket well lubed. I had to resort to a rubber mallet hitting in a torque bolt pattern movement around the sides of the plastic intake manifold to get it past the gasket...a very tight fit in 75-degree weather.

After extensive research of alternatives such as GM redesigning the spider injection with solenoids and wires at the end of the injector tubes that GM dumped their questionable first revision on the aftermarket rather than this original design by GM and reconditioned by TamerX, I purchased this reasonably priced TamerX. Prior to the purchase I used a fuel pressure gauge, and when the pressure gradually reduced to 0 in less than 5 minutes after engine shutdown, I purchased this TamerX and it not only fixed the aforementioned issue, it fixed the PO300 random misfire. The only reason I did not give TamerX 5 stars is because at this time I have driven the vehicle less than 500 miles while not knowing how many more miles this reconditioned part will last.
