What is a Valve Cover Gasket?
Valve cover gasket is designed to seal the valve cover to the surface of the engine cylinder head, the valve cover gasket prevents motor oil from leaking out of the joint part.
Pay attention when replace gasket:
* Pls use genuine gasket,wipe the two joint surfaces of engine and clean valve cover with a soft brush.
*Clean the valve cover with cleaning agent, clean the contact surface between the valve cover and cylinder head, install the valve cover gasket, apply gasket maker, and screw the screws diagonally from the middle to both sides.
*Don't scar the valve cover surface when carving debris.Tighten the fixing bolts of valve cover evenly,not too tight,which might hurt your cover.

Product has trouble staying in groove, maybe heating would help or a quick setting sealant to hold. It did install however .

This went on a 1989 Toyota camry with the 4cyl 2000cc motor. These valve covers are bolted down with the 4 24mm bolts over the spark plug holders. It's very Important to clean all binding areas.Like the half round humps on both sides. Toyota recommended there silicone. But I used gorilla silicone. It's high temp and drys slow. I put it on the whole Surface, plus a little extra in the corners of the humps. They will leak there if you don't put any sealer there.The top seals I cleaned well and put a thin layer of silicone around the surface then installed them and installed the nuts. I have never had one leak after doing this.The old one was leaking oil into the spark plus holes and hump corners. Now no oil leaks at all.

Would have to buy sealer for the humps and valles when done with install and checking found out that around humps it is shallow so sealer in the areas helps qith sealing it up to no leaks.
