Grand daughter loves this, plays for hours talking to the plane. Isn't that what a good toy is all about?!

Got this for my baby grandson at Christmas and he loves it. He's a little younger than the recommended age but he figured out how to bat at the bear and propeller and gets them to work.He also loves the music The only thing that I don't like is the pull string. As a toy with a target age of 9 months and up,I don't think it should be attached to the toy out of the box, but rather included and attached by caregiver when old enough to pull it.

My 2 yr old granddaughter is tiny, but when she holds string and walks, the plane ends up dangling in air. Also the string attachment on the underside of the plane compounds the problem. I added more string onto the pull string. That helped, but not the best pull toy

My daughter really likes this toy. She can pull it around the room as she runs but it also has buttons and noise makers to keep her entertained when she stops. The durable plastic has held up to be ran into walls and other toys. It has different settings that lets her do different things as she gets older so that we aren't having to replace toys constantly with more age appropriate ones.

VTech makes the best toys, in my opinion, and this Soar And Discover Airplane is such a good toy. I ordered this as a Christmas present for my one year old grandson, and since he hasn't played with it yet, I thoroughly looked over this product to do this review. I would like to just quickly talk about some of the key features of it, many of which are not even in the description.A sweet and happy bear is the captain and pilot, of this brightly colored airplane. Pushing down on his head, makes the propeller spin. Pushing down on the bear's head will also make the bear pilot say 1 of 5 different sentences, such as "We're ready for takeoff!".If baby pushes the airplane, or pulls the airplane using the attached pull string, he/she will get to hear plane sounds and music, while the plane is moving.Next, the windshield lights up and flashes, but not in an annoying way, during most activities with this toy. By pushing the windshield button, baby can hear 3 different sing-along songs and 10 various melodies. Most of the melodies were unfamiliar to me, except "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star". All of the melodies were pleasant to listen to.This airplane toy also has 2 wings. Each of the wings has 2 buttons on it, which baby can easily push. Pushing either button on the right side (labeled 1 OR labeled 2,3), will do the same thing, which is to say 1 of 3 different phrases about numbers. The phrases are all counting airplane parts, such as 2 wings, or 3 wheels. This only introduces baby to numbers 1, 2 and 3, which I think is plenty, at this age.Next, on the left side of the airplane are 2 buttons labeled A,B and also C. Pushing either of these buttons produces the same effect. It will say something that each of the letters (A, B, or C only) start with. "B is for blue sky.", is one of the 3 different letters phrases. There is even an adjustable volume button on the left side of the toy. This button lets you turn the sound off, or pick low volume (in the middle), or pick high volume (all the way to the right). This toy will also shut off automatically, if not played with, after awhile.I love all that this VTech airplane toy has to offer babies and toddlers. It is a wonderful toy.
