i live in Jamaica near the seaside. many of the plastic fixtures tend to crystallize and get brittle after a few years. this was a replacement for a similar fixture. this one will give me at least 5 or more yrs of good service. it was easy to install and worked perfectly with my existing track light head. A little expensive for what it is but it is what i needed and i am satisfied.thanks Amazon!

The description says this monopoint canopy is aluminum. It’s cheap plastic and should cost less than half then the $20 are priced at. The break very easily.

Despite claims that this is compatible with Lightolier track heads, it is NOT. I confirmed this with WAC lighting rep. WAC heads will work with Lightolier tracks but not vice versa.
