I use this stencil to redo my master bedroom into a more dark and moody feel. It worked great! I did use stencil adhesive and sprayed on the back. Definitely do a light coat instead of putting the paint on thick. I would highly recommend this stencil for your projects.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My house was built in 1795. over the years the plaster walls have been repaired poorly and are excessively uneven and lumpy. We did our best to smooth out what we could, but it was still pretty bad, so my original plan of wallpapering the fireplace wall was out of the question. I decided a stencil was the way to go and really liked the design of this one, and the price was more than reasonable. This was my first time stenciling and I'm pretty impressed with how it came out! It was easy to line up despite the wavy walls and and makes the lumps and woodstove hookup disappear! The stencil is well made with clean cutouts and is thick enough it won't tear- I can reuse it infinitely for other projects. Cleaning it was a pain, but that has nothing to do with the stencil itself.

This is an easy to use pattern and matches up quickly and easily both at top bottom and around corners. The provided extra piece for top and bottom also made it easy to line up in tight space. There are small details in this pattern, so one either needs to work quickly to complete the project or may need to clean the paint buildup if you were using a roller and wall paint latex. For our project, we used similar colors with a darker shade, and did layers of pouncing with lighter and darker texture. The overall effect is a layered rich pattern

First, I want to say this stencil is sturdy. It’s taken a beating and so far, has held up well. By beating I mean I have scrubbed it with a brush and all the little cut outs stay put. So nothing negative about the stencil.Second I am no stranger to stenciling. I have done it several times as well as just about all methods of faux painting. We just bought this house two years ago and are in the process of a complete repainting. I have knock down texture on my walls. It’s awesome for some faux painting technics, but not great for stenciling. I was already aware of this because I stenciled a upstairs bedroom wall, but I used foils. I did not get clean lines but I was ok with that because it had the faded look of vintage wallpaper. I decided to do this wall with the stencil and roller. First I practiced on cardboard. Beautiful. But.... cardboard is much smoother than knockdown texture, so I knew I wouldn’t get clean lines. So here’s the issues I had. My wall had a fresh coat of satin latex paint. I could not keep the stencil in place. Nothing would stick. Not tape or adhesive. If I could have a do-over I would use a flat paint under. I rolled over the stencil and also tried stippling. Stippling was no better. My second issue was clean up. As others have said paint builds up and it’s difficult to remove. I started cleaning after every second use. I used goop gone and acetone. Still a pain. The moral of this for me, is not to paint a stencil on a satin latex and not to paint on a knockdown texture. After I get done with this mess, I’ll only stencil with foils (no mess) or stick to faux technics.

The stencil was exactly what I ordered, easy to use, and had a helpful guide. The only reason I'm giving a four was because I measured it numerous times but could never get the sides to match up. This was my first time stenciling an entire wall, so it may have been user error! I just had to hand paint some mistakes but overall I am very happy with the outcome and would purchase another design!

I had tried stenciling once in the past and it was a total disaster. I was decorating my first child's nursery, so everything had to be perfect. And it was. Until I ended up with a giant Rorschach Test on his wall. Because I spent so much money on the stencils (2 different designs), I was financially motivated to get them on the wall. Because the direct application wasn't exactly working for me, I resorted to tracing the designs with a pencil and painting it in with an artist's brush. About a week later I finished a job that should've taken 1 day. The day i finished I put down my brush and told myself I would never stencil again.Recently, however, our teenage daughter wanted to revamp her room, to include paint. After throwing around some ideas we came up with a design and I thought "that wall would look cool with a stenciled design." So as nervous as I was about tackling another stencil job, I bit the bullet and ordered this one. It's a nice, high quality stencil suitable for repeat use. I followed the included instructions exactly and achieved fantastic results. I didn't even need spray adhesive to get good contact with the wall -- just a few pieces of painters tape on the edges and followed the recommended technique. The wall I painted was rather large, so about midway through the paint buildup on the stencil was enough that it started to affect the design. But after a quick cleaning with some Lift Off I was ready to finish my project. I do suggest cleaning the stencil any time you need to break from painting. Once (latex) paint dries on the stencil it's a nightmare to remove. It's doable, but VERY time consuming.Well, our other daughter decided she wanted to do her room, too so I just prepped her room for paint and will be using the same stencil but with a tone-on-tone palette. I'm very happy with this product and highly recommend it to anyone considering a stencil treatment... Especially anyone who's unsure of their abilities or has had a bad stencil experience in the past!
