I tried seven E strings to find one that doesn't have that annoying squeak. Warchal with the strange coil was the best.

When you first see it new it’s got a coiled section like a spring, but once you put it on and tighten it, it straightens out which I’m sure has something to do with it ability to stop the E from whistling. So far so good it though it Is more on the warm than bright sounding side.

Be careful putting it on! I broke the first one. (Thankfully I ordered two!!) However, when I got it on it settled quickly, and plays like a dream!! Beautiful tone and no more squeaking!!

One of the few high quality separate loop E strings that I found. Excellent range of sound.I have had to replace this string several times because there is not much leeway when it’s tightened as a little too much can cause the loop to break. Perhaps the manufacturer could look into this and make the loop stronger.

Amber Warchal E strings are the best. There is no comparison. You never hit an edge where the string doesn’t speak. It always speaks!! I will only use Amber Warchal E strings.

A tried this string out on a recommendation over a year ago and I’ve since used one of these every time I change my strings. It’s not the most fantastic sounding E string, but t has a nice flat tone that’s not too harsh or twangy. The feature of being able to eliminate the “whistle” that E strings often make does seem to work pretty well. If you really try to get this string to whistle (in purpose) it will, and as the string ages and approaches the end of its life it will start to as well. However that only occurs after continuous use every day for several months. I’ve had about 4 and I’ve never had one break, so I’d call this a pretty good deal for the price
