Description:
The Water detector is part of the security system. Itindicates whether the sensor is dry or completely immersed in water by measuring conductivity. When the electrode detect the water, two rust-proof metal probe meet the water, the circuit is On-state, And the controller relay will activate with N.C orN.O signal, and also it can control any other device(Max.10A 250VAC or 10A30VDC).
Sensor:metal probe
Sensitivity: Anticlockwise - Clockwise +
Voltage:DC10 to 15V
Current:Static:≤10uA; Alarm:≤40mA
Power Indicator:Green LED On
Alarm:Red LED On and Relay Activate
Alarm Output: Relay N.C or N.O(Max. Load 260V 10A)/80dB Sound
Working Termp. -10 to 60℃
Working Humidity:0-90%RH (no congelation)

THe NC contact of the output relay was not connecting with the COM of the relay. I removced the circuit board from the enclosure and found the NC pin void of any solder. Also the specfications state 10uA of standby current. This si compleatly wrong. There is a green power indicator that is allways lit and consumes 10mA alone. I had to remove the LED current limiting resistor for my low power application. Standby current is now abount 1.2mA.

I used as water detection device for the overflow drain pan on my Air Conditioner. This will detect even a small amount of water and I have it wired to turn the AC off if water is detected. It has a much quicker response than the standard mechanical float system.

I took the output signal to a 120vac comtactor to shut off my clothes washer due ti discharge sink over filling. Sometimes my drain is slow. This works well. No complaints.

We bought this because we have a water cooler that occasionally leaks if the pump gets stuck on. The water cooler sits on a mat in the barn and we have the sensor sitting down on the mat. If the pump stays on and leaks, the sensor reads it and the relay kicks on and turns off the system. I have a 12 volt power supply separate from the cooler to power this up. Pretty slick switch for $20.

I do a lot of remote monitoring of water treatment sites (pump stations, RO facilities)... and leaks are an important thing to monitor. This unit will provide an audible alert when a leak is detected... it also has a relay with NO and NC dry contacts that I can easily connect to my gateways for remote monitoring and alerting. I like that I can adjust sensitivity if I need to. Easy to test it with the type of water that you are working with. 12 VDC power requirement is compatible with my gateway... I like that too. Reasonable cost as well.

Works exactly how you want. Water across both probes creates a contact closer, or opens the contact (N/O or N/C). Perfect to tie into any security system.

I pre wired home for 7 sensors but my alarm panel couldn't handle that many in parallel. When I found this device I though is may have some issues but I was surprised how easy it installed and worked first timeI wish is came with it own power supply but I happen to have an old 12v one lying around
