The waterproof membrane has all the same appearances of others except for the stiffness. Its not as stiff, but it would not compromise the integrity of the shower. The seam sealing tape is very strong and you can cut it with scissors but you cannot tear it, or punch a hole through it. When you fold the sealing tape it does hold its crease (fold). We have had some problems with our roof and our handyman said that this would be ideal to use as a protective barear in those roof problems. He was absolutely right in it worked out very well and did the job.Yes this is good material for the shower as well and there is plenty of the material which is on the roll.We highly recommend!
