If you have this he profile gas stove you know these break all the time. Finally a cost effective alternative to GE. Look and work the same as OEM

THESE KNOBS ARE PERFECT. IT EVEN SAID THEY ACTUALLY MADE THE HOLLOW POST STRONGER, WILL SEE.WE'VE HAD OUR GE COOK TOP ALMOST 9 YEARS, AND IN THAT TIME HAVE REPLACED MORE THAN DOZEN OF THESE KNOBS. FIRST SET WE BROUGHT FROM GE, TOOK FOREVER TO RECIEVE, NEXT SET FROM AMAZON WAS DELIVERED IN COUPLE OF DAYS. ORDERED THIS SET BEFORE I NEEDED IT. AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT, WEEK OR SO AFTER I GOT THEM ONE OF THE KNOB BROKE. THERE IS AN INSIDE PLASTIC CASING THE SHAPE OF THE SEMI CIRCLE SHAFT. AND ONCE THAT PLASTIC BREAKS THE KNOW JUST SPINS, AND IS USELESS.

One arrived bent—other knobs sent were fine but I can’t return all of them for a replacement since I won’t be here to install so I may be stuck with the bad one (unless perhaps the seller can send to a different address and quickly?)

I have been fixing my GE Cafe cooktop knobs in less than a year after it was installed in 2017. I do love the cooktop overall, except the heavy knobs had plastic tube inside over the metal burner shaft...I have figured how to fix those with crazy glue and a tie wraps, and 3 out of 5 were glued and tied together numerous times. It has become my little project to fix keep fixing the knobs instead of ordering an OEM replacement set, which I believe was as flimsy made as the one I have been dealing with.Few days back finally one of the knobs broke off right off the base, and I decided I have ordered this replacement set. I did however fixed the 2 knobs AGAIN, while waiting, just for fun...:)The new knobs fit perfectly, which was my main concern based on some reviews. It seems to have reinforcement aluminum tube over the plastic one, and the finish is metallic, bright and shiny.I have replaced all 5 gas burners knobs, and left out the small knob that turns the ignition unit.The color is slightly different than the original one, that matches the SS surface: it is brighter and slightly darker, hence, 4 stars.Overall, first impression - good value for the money, new and shiny, and work with the light indicators(which are NOT the part of the knob).As for durability, I will update the review after few months time.I wish they had a matching small knob, still a good alternative to the OEM set at 50% of the cost.

I was very pleased with this purchase. The original part is basically plastic, and the knob fits onto a shaft from the stovetop. In my case, the plastic broke, and I was left with a loose knob that was always going to wobble. The replacement was cheaper than my local GE parts dealer, and was better than the original, in that they have a metal cover for the first 5 mm or so of the part where the knob fits onto the shaft. Meaning that the breakage I had will never recur with this knob. I should have bought 4 more for the rest of the stove, the original knobs are crap, and I am sure I will have to replace them eventually.
