Mat unrolls and lays flat. All four wheels of the grill are on the mat so it protects the pool deck tile from scuff marks. I wish the mat was slightly longer so that it extended under the hooks for hanging the tools to protect the tile from incidental dripping and staining.

The mat is good at keeping grease and spatters off my tile patio. It is NOT a high temperature product so don't put anything hot on it like a starter chimney or hot coals. Sparks are fine but that is it.

Got this to match my Weber grill (starting to have a theme on the back patio). I would have liked it to be a bit larger, but it will do nicely to protect my new concrete. Too early in the game to say how it will do. So far, the first step together is a pleasant one. I'll give it 5 for now and hope it stays that way after our first Wisconsin winter together.
