I am a long time Prime member, and I dont usually write reviews unless i think other users should know. Now I have Used west bend couple time, First I had to replace it for some issue luckily we fond that out with a week or so after ordering, got a replacement, was'nt that lucky this time, it stopped working a month and a half later, 67 dollars in the trash. I mean these are appliances, they meant to last couple years if not more.

This coffee pot looked great! I read and followed the instructions re: grounds going through the basket but I was hopeful. Unfortunately the one batch I made had grounds in the liquid. Also, the spigot is low enough on the outside that getting almost any cup/mug to fit under it was impossible. So I raised the urn on a baking pan. This did not seem stable enough to me to use safely in a church setting with children in the vicinity. I know the spigot problem was described in other reviews, but I had hoped to find something sturdy and stable enough to raise the height of the entire urn. Anyway, this didn't work for our purposes, but might be okay if you can place the coffeemaker on the edge of the table, and people can put any size mug underneath it. I sent it back yesterday and hope to see my refund on my credit card within the week! THank you, Amazon, for making the return process easy.

Thought i was getting a commercial/professional coffee pot.....its the same one i purchased at our local L&M store. Thought maybe it would be more heavy duty, as the other one only lasted a few months.

This was a coffeemaker that I bought for business meetings at work. So many of these large pots are made of aluminum; the ones made from stainless steel are usually expensive. I found this coffee maker on Amazon, after an hour long search of sites, and am pleased with its quality.

We received this pot about 30 days ago and it has been on about 20 hours a day ever since we got it. We brew coffee constantly in our office and this pot has not let us down. We only use the filter basket that comes with the pot and don't use a paper filter.Cons: When you fill the pot all the way up to the 36 cup mark the bottom of the filter basket is submerged in the water. This is not a problem if you start brewing right away, but isn't good if you want to get it prepared to brew a couple of hours later.We are very satisfied with the performance of the pot so far.

I have to say that this is the longest that I have had a coffee maker. I go thru them like they are going out of style (we have hard water with a lot of calcium), so it literally destroys coffee makers. After spending hundreds of dollars on other coffee makers, I decided to try this one just strictly going off of the ratings. I have had this for almost a year now, and it still works great. Where as other coffee makers would have died in about 3 months.
