Tiled the tub surround and didn’t think about the space needed for the spout to screw on. This was perfect size so no gap and because it comes out a bit further the water isn’t splashing up and out so much. Not so long that it becomes a hazard. Excellent! Also, this isn’t the cheap plastic that we had before and a great price in comparison to the home improvement stores.

It mounted much like most tub spouts, a longer stub out pipe is needed, and a 1/2" male NPT adapter. I can do that, as I was remodeling the bathroom behind this tubs valve and spout, so I had access. I also have "plumbing skills."

I liked the quick delivery and heavy gauge. I didn't like the finish since I needed chrome to match but not available. I don't like the way water sprays out of it instead of smooth downward flow. I didn't like that the technical info on amazon gave no indication of stub out pipe length.

Put in a Delta tub enclosure and the wall panel to tub wall was so short a distance that when running tub water splashed onto the top lip of tub. (design flaw from Delta) This spout being 2 1/2 inches longer cured this in a simple manner. Again I need to mention that this is EXCELLENT QUALITY. Not a flimsy thin walled spout. Sleek and great looking too!
