Westbrass was founded in 1935 by two brothers, Jack and Aaron Kagan, to serve the needs of all plumbing wholesalers on the West Coast. The product lines at the time included items such as faucets, valves, malleable fittings, etc. After becoming the premier distributor of plumbing products, the company was bought in 1985 by Max Homami. Quality looks ok, the metal looks a bit thin, but it is a low cost option. My issue is that both of our bathrooms have Oil Rubbed Bronze faucets, towel bars, TP holders, shower heads, drains etc and this does not match anything with that finish. It is a bit darker, almost -not quite- matte black and doesn’t have the copper colored highlights that all of our other Oil Rubbed Bronze fixtures have.

IT ARRIVED WITHOUT THE DIVERTER, AND THEREFORE THE PIN JUST LIFTS OUT. THIS PUT MY CONTRACTOR BEHIND EVEN MORE THAN HE ALREADY WAS. THIS IS THE THIRD ITEM THAT ARRIVED DEFECTIVE FOR THIS NEW BATHROOM, WHILE OTHER ITEMS WERE PERFECT AND FUNCTIONAL.THE CONDITION WHEN IT ARRIVED WAS GREAT, AND THE BOX WAS SOLID. IT WASN'T UNTIL THE CONTRACTOR TRIED TO INSTALL THE PARTS, THAT THE PARTS WERE MISSING OR DEFECTIVE.I WAS IGNORED BY WESTBRASS, EVEN AFTER I SENT PICTURES, AND EXPLAINED IN DETAIL, AMAZON WON'T HELP BECAUSE THE RETURN WINDOW CLOSED BEFORE THE CONTRACTOR COULD INSTALL.

This spicot is extremely nice and well made. This is the slide on type so installation is a breeze. No tephlon tape no glue no threads nothing. This slides right onto the PVC pipe sticking out from the wall and has an internal o ring and clamp that keeps it water tight sealed. No leaks at all. After you push it up to the wall, apply a thin bead of silicon around the entire faucet so it doesn't move around and so water won't get behind the faucet. Plus it makes it more sturdy and less movement around when you are pulling up and pushing down on the plunger. Without it, it will be whlobbly. Definitely recommend this. I've replaced all mine in my house now with these. I won't use the screw on ones ever again. Plus they are cheap on price. 19. Dollars. Can't beat it

For the past couple of years, I was buying this style tub diverter at my local hardware store and they would only last a few months. The original one I had lasted years. I kept buying locally because I figured that they were all the same. If you look at the innards, there is really nothing to it so I figured how can any other brand make it better. Indeed, when I received this one it looked the same inside. But I was tired of buying a new one every few months even though they're not very expensive. But this one has been in place over 5 months now and it's worked perfectly. I can't explain why, it just does! And the price is barely more than I'm used to paying.

It showed up within 24 hrs of ordering. I gave it a dry fit and it was pretty much perfect. It replaced a 5 1/2 tub spout so it's 1/4'' shorter. I added some Teflon tape and some caulking and its as good as new. It screws on to 1/2'' threaded fitting that's soldered onto my copper pipe. To check if it's a 1/2'' fitting I checked it with the shower head hose fitting and it was the same. We will see how long it will last now, I'm sure it will be good and the quality is very good for the price.

needed to replace an American standard. had to use backer plate from the American standard to getthe correct distance from thread. it fit snug and is working fine

Used this to replace a corroding American Standard spout (I had contacted AS about their lifetime warranty and they never got back to me) and this is a perfect replacement. Remove your old spout to make sure it's threaded (1/2") and that the length of the pipe sticking out of the wall is 4". If it's a 'yes' to both of those than this is what you need. Nice metal construction.

We had a bath tub spigot that was all discolored from water deposits and the worse thing was, it leaked, well, more than leaked, it gushed and sprayed water when we pulled the chingo to turn on the shower. Finally in desperation I unscrewed it. My brother tells me I have to spend a lot of money for a quality one because the lower and mid priced units all leak.I got online and the Home depot had a cheapie for 22 buks and it was not in stock, here on Amazon it was, huge selection and this bad boy was only 12 buks and was here in 2 days and free shipping with Amazon Prime.I wrapped some of that white silicon tape around the threads and hand tightened this spigot and holy moly, no leaks and works perfectly and looks great.

This spout made a huge difference on my shower/tub. I'm on a well system with hard water and I don't have system pressure like city water. I constantly fight calcium build-up, so when my other spout's diverter leaked terribly I decided to try this spout, since it's an exact fit to the old one. After installing I turned on water and pulled up the diverter, at first it leaked worse than my previous spout, then after a few seconds it snapped into place and worked perfectly (must of been an air lock). Now I have a spout that performs great with no diverter leak (not wasting water) and great water pressure for showering. For the price this is an excellent purchase and after a few years when it will begin to fail because of calcium it won't be expensive to replace. Also it took less than 2 minutes to install.
