Of course on a cold snap our heat pump stopped. The little 15 A automotive type fuse at the air handler kept blowing. It was the old contactor at the outside unit causing this. I fired up the woodstove and ordered this, a few days later it arrived and I installed it. Same exact as original without the dust cover which isn't a problem.

Worked to replace a contactor with a failed solenoid coil in a Rheem RA13 series AC unit. Same standard mounting pattern and terminal locations. Note that, as other reviewers have said, the screw terminals are brass clamps not aluminum grub screws, and it does not come with the plastic covers for either the contacts nor the coil, but that shouldn't be an issue in a sealed enclosure.

AC won’t turn on and when it does it won’t shut off.After diagnosing the problem I had a bad contactor switch. My switch burnt out and I ordered this to replace it. I was worried about the specs that vary slightly from my original switch but after installing it works great. Exact fit and it works perfectly. My only dissatisfaction is the picture shows a cover with two small screws but I didn’t receive a cover on the unit. Not sure if it comes with one or maybe they put the wrong picture. Make sure you match the specs as close as possible to the old switch. Highly recommended.

Part is not as listed in photo. It does not have terminal blocks, only screws. Getting 10g wire to sit under a flat screw is not a desirable process to have to go through. Part also did not come with a cover over the contacts. The holes are there for the screws, but no cover included. After 3 days without AC on 90 degree days I was happy to have the part, but I was disappointed in the downgraded quality from the original model shown in the picture.
