Earlier items sold under this name may not have been authentic but the product I received, shipped and sold by Amazon, are legit. Perfect cut, perfect sizing, quality is better than the OEM carbon filter that was included with the AC.

My old filter was finally tore in half. On a whim, I looked on Amazon … and sure enough, they had them. Now I will order regularly instead of trying to clean the old filter.

How is this even effective with it being smaller than case that holds it There is gaps all around making this filter useless. Why so much? The air conditioner that I just bought from you was 520 Pluss tax and I bought the prefilter for about 30. Point I'm making is you should be better with your customers by having accessories that aren't faulty or expensive. This is worth at least 18 at most with it being perfect fit. Both accessory filters should be between 18 20.

Well first off it fit. Reading some reviews about size, I was a bit concerned. It was the anti microbial filter as stated. Turning on the a/c now.

Fits right, but there is no way for the user to test efficacy thus its actual value is a crapshoot. At least it does not emit any onerous odor into the air stream in cooling or circulation-only modes. Wholly a "take-it-on-faith" proposition.

I've read some reviews in which folks received a size that didn't fit their A/C. My size was perfect fit for the ARC-14SH.

it works so well that my 2 year old a/c works like new its to soon to tell if this will clean the air but then again you kind of can't tell that anyways unless you use a lot of money on things that can tell you

Works exactly as advertised. It does a good job of filtering out dust and other impurities from the air, although it doesn't reduce odor as much as the carbon filters. But that's to be expected, plus having a hepa-filter with carbon pre-filters would more than take care of this problem (as I have). I recommend this product.
