Typical dead wedges are much narrower, but that means you have to have them more precisely placed. These are about twice as wide, allowing you some fudge room when placing them on the floor.

I thought they would be more dense. I can see these drying out and becoming brittle in 2-3 years. But they will do for now.

Handles my heavy duty work out by keeping the weights elevated from the floor and wide enough for 4-5 45lb places on each side of the bar. Great buy for me.

These work well for the intended purpose. I like that they are wider than most other options. I was hoping they would stay put on the floor when I do trap bar deadlift reps. They do move around a little though as I let the weights land on the wedges between each rep. So the wedges can get a little crookedly positioned after a set of 12 reps. I didn't just purchase these to be able to change plates easier..I wanted them to keep my setup from rolling out of line between sets on my uneven concrete surface. I really cant complain to much though as it's easy enough to reposition them if they get outa line. In the future I have thought I may glue or screw them down to my future horse stall mats & that should keep them exactly where I want them. I was wishing they had a yellow colored option initially as I have lime green painted concrete. But red is better than black as I want to be able to see them well so I don't accidently trip on them at some point.

I'm very pleased with my purchase of the Vapor Fitness 3.5" Wide Deadlift Wedge (2 Pack). I particularly like the 3.5" width (and 2 Pack) as I not only use the wedges as a deadlift jack alternative but to keep my barbell from rolling around on my slightly pitched garage floor. Prior to receiving the wedges I would have to place silencer pads or unused bumper plates next to the barbell to prevent it from moving between sets. I currently have black stall mats lining my garage gym floor so I went with the the red deadlift wedges, which really pop...and pop out so that I don't accidentally roll an ankle on a black wedge if I forget to store them between workouts. Quality product - glad I spent a few extra dollars for a wider, well made pair. I would recommend this product.
