I had purchased a different brand, but it was a pain to try and set up. Kept getting an error message about the batteries being low even though I bought new batteries . I ended up returning the item and found the Insoma, read the reviews and made the purchase. It was so easy to set up and it worked like a charm. I like the fact you can schedule the time for it to automatically turn on or manually turn it on whenever you want from the app. There is really no fiddling with the timer itself. I was really happy when it worked without any headaches. I am pleased with the purchase.

This hose timer is so nice! It is simple to set up and use. It is sturdy and well built and screwed on perfectly to my hose. It also doesn't leak at all so that's a huge plus! You will need some AA batteries to get it up and working but besides that, set up is minimal. Overall, super handy to have on hand and I look forward to using it more this spring/summer for our garden!

This came with dirt and package damage. Why are we getting used products?

The hose timer combined with an irrigation hose has made a difference in our garden. The timer was easy to set up following the instructions and we are leaving it in automatic to water the garden once a day every morning. The timer uses two AA batteries. The connections work well and we have no leaks by using teflon tape to adjust all connections.

I've been taking care of my elderly parents who have always taken a lot of pride in their lawn. Trying to keep it watered has been tough for them, and I am so thrilled to say that this has been a massive solution! They don't have to spend their energy watering anymore, and instead can sit back and enjoy their peace in the garden without having to work hard! Setting it up wasn't too difficult, and once everything is done it's a set-it-and-forget-it type deal. I'm just hoping it holds up well over time! It's cheap, but it works!

We struggle with our garden, and it's not for lack of trying. Our biggest issue is out of mind, out of sight. So there are plenty of times we just forget to water.Using this water timer has saved many plants and veggies. It allows us just to set it and forget it. Even in the winter you can set a drip timer to keep your hoses from freezing. Which yes, I have had a need once.Configuration is super simple and the instructions are very clear.I cannot wait to expand my garden in the spring!

Hose Timer Vine review. Brand: INSOMA. This is a bargain model, with upgraded features. As someone with over 2 decades of hose timer use, this is what you need to know.1. Do not try to use rechargeable batteries. Don’t. There is something in these repeatedly copied circuit boards that have a way of failing with rechargeable batteries. I don’t know why. And I have a boatload of AA and AAA rechargeables, including the newer & better Tenergy and HiQuick.2. If you will experience any high of low temperatures while these are outside, use the Lithium batteries.3. Not heeding this advice means you are more likely to have the failure where the water is cycled on correctly, but never shuts off. I have had that happen, twice. I thought it was the timer.* But it wasn’t.4. *These timers do fail, I don’t think I have ever had one last more than 2 years. For this review, know this is a 24 hour clock. So no AM or PM. Which can be frustrating. (What the heck is 17:45???) I only use the timer in the mornings, so not so big a deal. For a “one off” timed use, press the faucet/hose bibb icon, then set the time to run before shut off, first set hours, then press ok, then set minutes and then press ok. That is it. This is just brilliant if you have a habit of leaving sprinklers running too long! If you later want to stop that short of the time? Hold the faucet down and it will stop. EXTRA Value not typically seen in this price: There is a rain delay on the automation and there is a child lock (vandal lock?) on all functions.Nice and Small timer. It’s could be an easy five star value at this price, but I can’t when there is no AM/PM clock. 4 Star review.Adjusted RyanL Vine Voice rating scale:★ Well below expectations. And/or Listing is false.★★ Below expectations and/or Significant listing errors or Significant problems.★★★ Neutral - some good, some bad. Or highly priced for no known reason.★★★★ Meets expectations. Price seemed competitive when review was written.★★★★★ Exceeds expectations and/or the competition with Value. Unique. I found this timer very easy to set-up. I already own a different branded timer, so I've done this before, but I think anyone would find this really easy to use. The dial basically walks you through each step First, you set the clock, then rotate to the start time, rotate to end time, how long, then how often and the next click of the dial is to 'Auto' and you are done. You can turn the timer off if needed, or manually override the timer if needed all very easily and intuitively. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because it only operates on military (24 hour) time. I would prefer to have an option for an AM/PM 12 hour clock. It doesn't impact performance, it would just be easier to use in my opinion.
