Becasue I have an inguinal hernia, I wear a hernia belt at all times, except for sleeping. The belt does a great job, but is not always comfortable with most underwear. The strap on the belt along with the leg openings on most underwear can be bulky and bunchy. I purchased this strapless design because I thought that the open back and lack of leg straps would mesh well with the belt. The combination has been the most comfortable I have found. I am able to wear this jock under the hernia belt ; which is immpossible with any other style of underwear I have tried. The open back reduces heat build up. The pouch is extremley soft and the "Big Boy" is the perfect size. It keeps everything "front and center" so no sack sticking to legs; no pinching or smashing. I am pretty active both at home and work, and this garment provides the perfect amount of support and freedom. The side benefit is that the ladies will like how you look wearing this with jeans, slacks, or shorts.I did try a different brand of this same style jock. The material was not as soft, and the stripe on the WildmanT provides a wider, more comfortable pouch. I don't think I would have ever tried out a garment like this except for the fact that I was looking for something comfortable to wear with the hernia belt. This jock is so comfortable that I may not go back to anything else, even if I get surgeory.I did have a small issue on my initial order, but using the "contact seller" button through Amazon, I sent a note to WildmanT. Response from the Wild Man himself was immediate, and I had resulotion by the following day. I was so impressed with the customer service, that I placed an order for six more of these jocks imediatley. I recieved my order four days earlier than expected and everything was perfect.I absolutley would recommend this jock for its performance, quality, and mostly for its comfort. I would recommend this company because it has customer service down to a T! Thank you WildmanT for making my hernia journey so much more comfortable.
