It has a sturdy feel and the electronics work well enough for a small kid. My son is 5 years old and 49 inches tall and it fits his body and hands perfectly. The tuners are hot garbage and therein lies the problem; if it can’t be used to play real music or train a kid’s ear to proper notes, it’s not a real instrument. It’s a toy. The electronics work but they’ll only ever make out of tune noise due to the tuners. The neck is pretty buzzy around the octave point as well. You can upgrade the tuners and adjust the neck but for that cost and time, you’d be better off just buying the more expensive but reputable version.

My granddaughter loves her guitar but it’s a bit heavy for her at 5 years old. She will grow into it. It is great quality for a kids guitar. We bought the pink one and the color is great for a girl.

Absolutely adorable! This Electric Guitar is perfect for my little rockstar in training. It's well-made, easy to handle, and the included accessories are a bonus. Watching my child strum away with a big smile on their face is priceless. Highly recommend for young music enthusiasts!

Bought this for my grandson’s 10th birthday. With a little tuning it is a really capable set up! The amplifier is small, but makes it easily portable and puts out good sound. He’s tall for his age and it’s certainly not too small for him. All in all very happy with my purchase. Good value.

*Update, gave it another shot, tweaked the saddles to get it somewhat in range, nope. The amp doesn't function unless you have headphones, even then it's warbly, distorted and so quiet it's hard to tell it it's on or if you're hearing the strings vibrate. I get now why it's called a beginner kit and not a beginner guitar. Clever, well played. This is not a beginner guitar. A beginner is just learning strings/frets/finger positions, but instead are tasked with full on luthier tier knowledge. The essential components that make a guitar appealing to beginners so they want to practice instead of seeing it as a chore are simply non existent. If I really wanted to make it playable, everything's gota go, even the neck. Knowing it's a beginner who's playing it, at least get the intonation within range.6th string Open E = E6th string 12th E = FSame goes for the all 6 strings.Intonated until the screws fell off and even after ~1" no change whatsoever. No truss rod, actions so high and neck so bowed, even after bringing the saddles down to near fret buzz levels, action still way too high. Ideal action at 12th fret is ~1.6mm/credit card. I stacked 10 cards and still had room to spare. Measured it up, 22mm.If you wana screw people at least take them on a date first.

I ordered this guitar to give to my son for Christmas. He has been waiting for this gift for 2 months and has been asking for it every day. On Christmas Day I got him the guitar, but the guitar amp (yellow plastic box) just didn't work. I tried plugging different batteries into it, went out and bought a power adapter, tried different wires - nothing works. This is very low quality. This product is quite expensive to be of such low quality.

My husband plays guitar, so I had an expert check this out before I gave it to my grandson. The action was good and the frets secure - no rough edges or anything. The amp was perfect - has just enough sound, but it can't go too loud. I bought the blue - very nicely painted - and my grandson was thrilled! He immediately put the strap over his head and started rocking out. I wasn't sure how heavy that 5 lbs was going to feel to him, but he played for almost an hour straight, so I guess he didn't really notice. And he's been playing almost daily since. The strap was a bit flimsy, so I did end up buying a more padded style, along with a floor stand, but otherwise, this is a perfect first guitar for a kid.

It is definitely a good guitar so far for kids to learn on. The only thing I've noticed at this time is just that the amp is very good but it is a small amp for a starter kit. It makes a lot of static no matter the volume it's on. But again, it's for them to learn on so it's probably not the most important thing anyway. It was easy to tune and she loved that we could get the color she wanted. It's easy for a kid to hold.
