I chose this set of mics because of the batteries they used. I liked the idea of not having to use AA batteries any longer. I took them to a job last night and just could not get them to work. Today I made sure everything was charged and showed a connection and, at first got the same result.I finally got the mics to work but only by not plugging them in the board all the way. If I leave about an 1/8 inch out of the socket, it makes a connection. That's not a good way to run things and could easily be a problem when I'm using them live.I did finally get them to work if they are plugged all the way in the socket BUT only if they were turned in just the right direction. A small turn clockwise or counter clockwise and they cut out again.I tried other mikes in those positions and they all worked as they should. I tried these mikes in other speakers and got the same result.In the end, you get what you pay for.

Great wireless microphone set, with different frequencies for same time use. Excellent range and good clarity with fantastic sound. Lightweight and easy to set up, definitely a must for presentations and events. Good to set up with your speakers for a fun karaoke night. I highly recommend!

Traditionally DJing and also DJing Karaoke nights means going through a large assortment of wireless microphones throughout the last 8 years. One thing was very consistent though, a set of wireless microphones that have been in heavy rotation for all 8 years, initially being used 5 days a week for 5 of those years, plus special events and even DJing doubles. Surprisingly, those microphones also cost me all of $70, and thanks to some shock protectors and foam guards, they still look new. Are the New Baxs Wireless Microphones going to be similar to those mics? The answer is definitely no, however there are several features that make these mics stand out. Now it's time to see how 2 wireless microphones that cost a total of $22 are going to sound and perform.First off, the features these microphones are packed with are incredible. These are features that have been requested in the mid to high price points, and these microphones prove without a doubt that the larger companies have been holding out. The New Baxs microphone set comes with 3 large blue proprietary rechargeable batteries. Once you load them in, you charge the microphones via USB C connectors. The receiver also takes one of these batteries, and it’s also rechargeable. Between using the industry standard USB C connectors, and never having to remove the proprietary batteries, there’s a state of blissful simplicity that’s been achieved. What makes these forward thinking features even better is the ability to charge the wireless receiver while it’s being used, if you have any fear of the battery running out while someone is talking, or performing. Every single microphone that has a wireless receiver base that I’ve tested requires a battery that can literally run out while it’s in use. On top of that, once someone is done using the microphones, you can charge them in between use, or, if you’re working a double, you can charge them while setting up for the next event.It’s unbelievably frustrating that for the last 8 years, and well over 16 different sets of wireless microphones, even using the vastly more expensive Sure wireless microphones which were lent to me for a large event, none of them had any of these features. Currently, my mics use high capacity Fujitsu and Amazon Essentials rechargeable batteries that last for five and a half hours due to their high mAh ratings. mAh stands for milliampere-hour, which dictates how much power a battery can offer. They’ve saved me so much money that it’s impossible for me to even comprehend the amount at this point. One set was only retired last year, and it still works, so much so that it’s used in my apartment now for remotes. The thing is, having a built in rechargeable battery that doesn’t require removing them after every event to charge overnight would be amazing. These $22 New Baxs Mics offer that peace of mind.Sound quality and performance are the most important aspects of any microphone and these are the areas where these mics take the biggest hit. None of my current wireless microphones cause feedback with my current set of speakers, these do though, and it’s because they require a fair amount of gain to reach parity with my current mics, with the main set costing no more than $70. If anything, my hope was being able to use these as secondary mics for group songs. The end result is that these are going to be relegated to having friends over for karaoke. At this price point, that’s not a bad thing at all. They surpassed my expectations and made me realize that the features I’ve always wanted wireless microphones to have could’ve always been there even at a low price point. These won’t go with me to any of my events, but, they will still see a fair amount of use. If you’re expecting $22 microphones to even sound like $40-$70 microphones, then these would be 3 stars. That’s not my expectation, and the aforementioned features they do have vastly exceeded my expectations, so my score is 4 stars.

We loves this pair of microphones. They are super easy to use. We plugged them into our karaoke machine, our tv and into our speakers. Comes with two size of speaker attachments to accomodate the large and small connections. Plug in and turn on, works perfectly. The mics are a good weight, heavier than some but not too heavy. I like that we can simply plug in a USB C cord and start charging without taking the rechargable batteries out. Also like that the USB-C code is split so you can charge both mics at the same time. Love the mics. Comes with two rubber stands to slide on the mic to keep it from rolling.
