A selection of 5 sail repair needles. Each has a slightly triangular point and are all polished steel. Very solid and will not snag or damage the fabric

It's sad I have to say this but these are actual stainless heat treated needles that are very strong and good quality...I spent a stupid amount of time trying to locate real sewing needles vs the cruddy plated pot metal junk from china.

I magnetized the large needles as a backup directional finder of north and south.

These are literally handmade and worth every penny when you need to repair your canvas wall tent, tarp, sheath or anything of substantial materials. Or don't get these and have the cheap ones break at the absolute worst time. For me and mine these are in our packs every time we go into the woods along with heavy waxed repair thread

After breaking my way through several large eye needles trying to wire artificial flower arrangements, I decided to stock up on heavy needles. Looked at all the regular suspects and was trying to find a package that didn’t include circular needles or that had more than one with a sharp triangular point, or that didn’t have dreadful reviews that said the needle broke after a single use when this popped up.Well worth a try. These are really sturdy and the tip is very sharp. I am using them to create holes in “silk” flowers, plastic stems and leaves -then I just run the wire through the hole. For the first time, I was able to put the tip of the needle where I wanted the hole, turn it upside down and force the flower onto the needle to creat the hole. I had heavy cardboard under the eye and no problem with the needle at all. I didn’t even need pliers to remove them and even with a strong (and obviously wrong) force on the eye. So easy, I was able to finish everything in an hour, while the night before I’d struggled for hours, broke several needles, smooshed a flower or two and only had 2 small blooms done to show for my efforts.Expensive? Not when you consider the other packages of sharp large eye needles, where maybe one or two would serve as well, but the eye doesn’t have the strength of these and they snap off. If you really need a sturdy, large eyed sharp needle, this is a solid choice.

The sail needles are high quality, sturdy, polished, and work very well. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They are rather pricey but quality comes with a price. I have found it is better to pay a little more on the front end for quality rather than wish you had and later purchasing the best quality. Then you realize you could have paid less overall by first purchasing the better quality.
