I just started to quilt and I was reading that you should use a 50 weight cotton thread. Many use Aurifill but I did not know that at the time. I have made a couple of quilts and numerous placemats and the one spool is still going strong. I am getting ready to go onto y second spool purchased.Thread is very strong and does not shed in the sewing machine. I will order again. So why only 4 star review instead of 5. I am still new and I will be testing other products in the months to come. The product is working but I may find something that works better. I really do like the Wonderfil products I have used so far. The color is off white and the reason I chose that is because it seems the blend. It is supposed to do that but I think the color could have been a bit better. But that is more on me and not the product itself.
