I'm 5'5" and while we have shelving up high in our laundry room, I've ben using a stool to reach my stain remover for the past few months. This is SO nice as a gap eliminator and storage adder in the laundry room! I haven't lost any socks between the washer and dryer since these showed up, and I can reach everything I need!The counter is definitely laminate, and the nonslip pads aren't very high quality. If you have a washer or dryer that shakes a lot during the spin cycles, I might worry about that. But I've been surprised at the complete lack of rattling we've had! It's seriously been such a nice addition for us!
