I ordered this for my wife because she sips her coffee and is constantly reheating her coffee. This SMRTMUGG is perfect for her to keep her coffee at just the right temp all morning long. It has a cool little led display on the bottom of the cup that tells you what temp you are at and battery life remaining. If you are someone that keeps coffee going all day you may have to set it on the coaster throughout the day depending on how often you use it and the temperature you want to maintain your coffee. This seems to be a well designed warming cup that has an overall great fit and finish. It weighs only a little more than the average tumbler and although it is not cheap it seems to be well made. As far as durability that is something that will be determined over time but so far it is working very well. It comes packaged very nicely and includes the charging coaster, USB-C cable, and even the charging block. The charging block may seem like a little thing but so many other electronic devices do not include them anymore. This is a great gift idea for the coffee lover or even yourself.

The price is a bit high, but it works amazingly well. It does a great job maintaining the temperature that you set and it is a heavy duty tumbler!4 Stars

I was really impressed with this mug!VOLUMES (Measurements made with a Measuring Pitcher):1. 17 oz. - maximum volume with the lid on.2. 20 oz – overflow without the lid on.The times below were captured by using timelapse photography.HOW LONG WILL A CHARGE LAST WITH 17 OZ LIQUID AND LID CLOSED:Tested lowest and highest temperature settings.Recording started with a full charge and fluid actual temperature already at the Set Temperature.1. 122F - 10 hours, 16 minutes.2. 145F – 4 hours, 14 minutes.RECHARGE TIME FROM BATTERY FULLY EXHAUSTED TO FULL:2 hours, 4 minutes.INNOVATIVE DESIGN FEATURES:1. A hot fluid poured into the mug will automatically power up the mug and set the temp to 122F.2. The LCD display automatically activates whenever the mug is moved or bumped. The LCD display is completely invisible when blank.3. The set temperature is first displayed followed by the actual temperature. An animated bar scrolls up or down next to the actual temperature indicating whether the temperature is going up or down to achieve the set temperature. The battery charge status is then displayed following by the display going blank. This cycle is repeated if the mug is moved or bumped. SEE PICTURE for all possible screen displays.4. Once the Set Temperature is achieved and the mug is not disturbed, the set temperature displays for about 10 seconds, then the display goes blank for about 10 seconds. This cycle repeats until the battery exhaust icon displays.5. When empty, the mug automatically powers down.6. If the button is used to power up the mug rather than pouring in a liquid over 122F, the last set temperature is recalled.7. The control button is a large 1-inch diameter button located in the center of the bottom of the mug. There is no searching for a small button somewhere around the circumference of the mug like with some other mugs. And no, the bottom of the mug is never warm or hot.8. The lid can be more thoroughly cleaned than lids with other mugs. That’s because the upper slide simply lifts off because it is magnetically attached to the lower slide. The upper slide is the same on both ends so is just set back on top of the lower slide without having to orient it in a specific direction. When attached, the slides do not separate during normal use. The magnetic poles of the magnets create secure open and closed positions.9. The charging base has 4 electrodes evenly spaced around the base. So the mug is assured of good contact when charging. The raised outer walls of the charger base tilt the mug so much that it is obvious when the mug is not making contact with the electrodes.HEIGHT:Eight inches tall so will not fit under a Keurig or Nespresso maker (even with the drip drays are removed). Brew in a standard cup and pour into the mug.WEIGHT COMPARISONS:Weighed using a lab scale.1. 19 oz. SmrtMugg mug weight with lid – 18.4 oz. (520 gm)2. 14 oz. ceramic mug weight – 16.8 oz. (478 gm)3. 14 oz. other electric mug weight with lid – 15.8 oz. (448 gm)CONTROLS:The one button control is extremely simple.1. Every button push is accompanied by a change in the display and an audible beep.2. Pushing and HOLDING the button will power off and on.3. Continual button pushes will cycle through the 4 temperature settings:▪ 1st button push - 122F▪ 2nd button push - 131F (my preferred temperature).▪ 3rd button push – 135F (my wife’s preferred temperature).▪ 4th button push – 145FI HIGHLY RECOMMEND this SmrtMugg mug.

Let’s be upfront here. I’ve only used this once, because as I write this review, I only got the device yesterday. So I’ve got no comment on longevity, battery life over time, etc. This is strictly on initial usability. If someone sees this review months or years after I’ve written it and posts a comment for a follow-up, if I see it in my mailbox I’m happy to respond at that time. Even though I typically only drink hot coffee in the colder months of the year, going with cold brew in the hot months.Ok, let’s get down to business. My complaints are truly minimal: the instruction manual is written with a size 3 font. And to add insult to injury, it’s a Sans-serif font, with blocks of text. Yo, guys… for paragraphs? Use a serif font, that is what serif fonts are for: readability. And come on, use a font size that is actually readable. Even with reading glasses it was painfully small.Of course the instruction manual is right there. It’s not until I took the lid off the mug that I noticed a SECOND card inside, and this one had a QR code that took me to the product’s how-to videos. Seriously, you couldn’t package that as the FIRST thing we see, instead of hiding it inside the mug with the lid on top?Aside from those snafus, the product is great. Hand wash the mug, use your dishwasher for the lid, and then charge the mug. Make sure to set your temperature.I don’t like my coffee scalding hot. And my first few sips were, unfortunately, insanely hot. And the mug is so well insulated that it took quite some time to lower the temperature of the coffee inside. Starting tomorrow, I’ll let it sit with the lid off for a few minutes first, should help with that issue. But once it got down to my desired temperature, it stayed there for HOURS. I sipped the coffee slowly, no rush, and the temperature remained just right until I was finished. The physical mug feels very sturdy, and even the display on the bottom is amazingly easy to read (unlike the paper manual).I’m extremely happy with the mug. If anything comes up that is problematic, I will update my review down the road. If there’s no update, then I’m still using it.
