My trackball came horribly scratched. They refuse to honor their warranty.Feels like sand paper to roll the ball.Proceed with caution.

So, after trying out some of the large trackballs from all the big name brands, I finally decided to go with the X-Keys L-Trac Trackball and I'm seriously impressed! 🙌 the ball is buttery smooth and fits may large hands. The smoothness of the ball combined with the feel of the buttons is so close to perfect. Unlike other trackballs, the left and right buttons are huge so you can basically click anywhere with the same amount of pressure. The sound of the click when you press the button is so satisfying. You just gotta try it to understand what I'm referring to.But it's not just about comfort, the precision of the cursor is very accurate. I don't know much about sensors, but whatever they are using, it's head and shoulders above the name brands. Also, I used X mouse to customize the buttons in windows. It's not just for work either - gaming feels more intuitive with this trackball. The responsiveness is great without any lag. Plus, it's built to last. The only complaint I have is the steep slope of the palm rest. I'm using rubber wedges to raise the palm rest up an inch.I was so impressed with the trackball, I bought two. One for work and one for pleasure. Buy it, trust me, your hands will thank you! 🖲️🖲️✨

Very sturdy and accurate. Tracks beautifully! First trackball I've tried where I didn't need to adjust to it in that respect. Because the ball is held in place by something other than gravity, it does work well at a 45-50 degree angle. I really wanted to be able to keep this one, but it's just too big for my hand (6.5 inches) and hard to click. It was hard to find a position where I could comfortably rest my wrist and hand while using it. I tried using various cloths to use as a rest but with the trackball at an angle, the ball was just too high to find a good position without interfering with the right click button (I mouse left-handed).I could have probably found a way around that issue eventually, but my biggest problem was actually the buttons. I'm not sure if it's normal or if it was just this unit, but the bottom half of the mouse buttons was much harder to click than the top half. Since my thumbs are where most of my pain is, it made left clicking with my thumb pretty painful after only a couple of hours at work. The top half of the buttons was easier (not as easy as the Logitech Trackman Marble, but easier than the bottom half), but I was having a lot of trouble clicking with my forefinger without moving the ball. And it was also a little uncomfortable to reach the button due to my smaller fingers. The scroll wheel was also too far away for me and I found it hard to scroll one "click" at a time. If I had kept this mouse, I would have probably switched the mouse control panel from scrolling "screens" to scrolling "lines". I didn't bother using their software CD; I just downloaded X-Mouse button control from the internet. I didn't try using the third button. I really wish they made a smaller version of this trackball. I loved the idea of adding the extra buttons as well. I would definitely recommend this trackball, but only for people with larger hands than mine. Or at least people who don’t have RSI in their thumbs.

It's an excellent trackball, and I've had no issues with it whatsoever. It's comfortable to use and, after a slight learning curve, becomes very intuitive and functional, as well. The buttons feel great, and the tracking seems accurate, although maybe not quite as good as some modern mice. If there's a complaint to be made, it would be regarding the scroll wheel -- it's in a slightly awkward place, so using it requires some dexterous movements of the hand and fingers. It's certainly still useable, and the scroll itself feels great in use (once you've re-positioned your hand a little). All in all, I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in a trackball.

I really like this trackball. The only thing I miss is having the two extra buttons on the unit itself, but I was aware of it not having the extra buttons when I ordered it, so giving less stars because of this would not be fair.A cool thing about this trackball is that the size of the ball is exactly the same size as a standard pool ball. This means that you can switch out the ball for a cool looking pool ball, if you like to modify the look a bit.

I like to game from time to time, and I prefer a trackball. Mice tend to 'get away from me' when the action gets hot. I like a nice heavy trackball that stays put and keeps my hand oriented to the control.I have been using a Kensington Expert Mouse since before it was called Turbo Mouse - and that's a *long* time. Some of my first Amazon reviews are for the Kensington Turbo Mouse in its various iterations, and I think I have actually been using them for nearly 20 years. Biggest ball you can get on the market, and I do sort of miss the days when you could get glittery, decorative balls - used to even have one with swimmy fish in it.Those days ended when these trackballs became laser-guided. Laser meant there were no sensors to gum up and die, so that was an improvement in some sense - although I had cleaning them down to a science; but Kensington took away bearings entirely. The new ball race itself was just plastic pegs, which changed the feel of the trackball entirely, sapped its nice inertia and added a sort of gritty feeling.I can't get into this trackball - don't know how to disassemble it - and that worries me, because I think I'll probably eventually have to clean it, my skin flakes a bit and that always ends up jamming my trackballs. (EDIT: Easy to disassemble and clean, see comments.) But I've been using it for a few months and haven't had a problem. The ball, a bit smaller than the Expert Mouse, is still a nice size and has a very solid feel with a touch of inertia to it - and it is a very accurate trackball. The buttons are well positioned and have a nice solid actuation. I haven't used the extension jacks but it's nice they're there. The middle button is annoyingly located, but is OK when you get used to it.What's not OK is the location of the scroll wheel. You have to abandon the trackball with your hand to use it, which is not acceptable for gaming. Kensington's scroll ring is probably patented, but it is a far, far superior design; even the nasty-feeling combination clickwheels in cheaper mice don't make you abandon direction control. The other issue I've been having with this wheel is that I don't see where to adjust its sensitivity, and it is WAY too sensitive; I cannot use it in any game without overshooting the menu item I'm going for, sometimes 5 or 6 times, which usually results in death.I was so annoyed by this scroll wheel that I dug up an Expert Mouse - recent edition - and plugged it in. That lasted about a minute. In every other way this trackball is far superior. And that makes it the best I've used. So I can recommend it!
