Very cute and small enough for my cherry shrimp to fit quite comfortably. I even have baby fish fry settling or hiding in there. It's very smooth and no sharp edges or paint chemicals to worry about leeching into your tank water.

My shrimp hang out in it all the time especially the baby shrimp I have. After figure someway to cover the front so that the fish tank couldn’t get them or get them. Does fit easily into a smaller tank like I have A 10 gallon tank.

A bit pricey compared to other aquarium hides but I'd been searching for this design unsuccessfully until these popped up. Bought both the large and the small, and both are as described. Real white, not cream or off-white. Holes a bit larger than I was hoping for. High quality construction, smooth ceramic edges, stable when placed vertically like attached picture. Expect them to attract brown algae at some point and hopefully darken, which could make them appear more like real cholla, but will see.

I personally like this, and it is very well made. It has a nice curved and smooth edge on the inside bottom of the dome, and the openings are smooth as well. HOWEVER, The shrimp haven't been enthusiastic about it even when I drop their favorite food inside. It looks like the holes are a good size for even the adults to enter, but they obviously disagree. The first day I put it over their usual pellet feeding spot, and dropped a pellet into it - they bunched up next to it and stood there staring like it was Black Friday at the store, and they were waiting for the doors to be unlocked! I thought it was just because they didn't trust something new, but it has been 6 days, and the response is nearly equal. I think the reason may be that their antennae are too long and wide to admit them comfortably through the holes. Some of the small juvenile shrimp will go in, so I'm hoping in time it will at least be an undisturbed feeding spot for them. Time will tell if they just have to become accustomed to it, or if it just isn't going to work out for them.

This can be used to put your floating plants in the holes. It did take a very long time to arrive though.
