First things first, I have no experience with any other tactical vests nor does my profession require such gear. I don't plan on getting into any gunfights with this but, that being said, here's the rest of the review:This thing feels pretty comprehensive. There's tons of stiff Velcro and molle straps all over, with included magazine pouches, a bladder holder, two side pockets, and two from pockets, all of which are removable. The fabric is stiff and I don't notice any issues with the stitching, which are on all components with the vest.I'm on the shorter end of guys, but I can get it properly fitted, and there's plenty of room for someone who is taller to adjust. It feels like there's more room to adjust outwards from the belly, rather to make it smaller, so it might not be the best for real skinny guys to get a snug fit.There are pockets for plates on both the front and rear (Velcro at the bottom). I don't know if that's how plates are typically loaded (I thought from the top would make more sense) but that's how it is on this vest.The primary goal for this vest for me is to workout/add weight for a ruck. Maybe use it as a placeholder for an actual BP vest in the future. I do participate in some shooting sports but this is a step too far for that for me, especially given I'm not MIL/LE, but if you're playing airsoft or paintball it could be cool.Ultimately the fit and finish meets or exceed my expectations for an Amazon purchase at this price point. It's not going to be a heavy duty piece of equipment for me, so that's something to keep in mind. This is definitely a good entry for me into vests, as it seems to have the concept of what a vest should be, without feeling like a gimmick.

There are plate pockets on the front and back panels as well as on the cummerbund/side panels. What in the photo looks like a crotch plate holder is just a dump pouch with a top zippered pocket and some MOLLE inside.This feels quite heavy at about 5lbs.Thank you for reading my review and looking at my photos of this product.
