I bought this to compliment my Yakima high speed roof racks. These racks have performed flawlessly but finding a spot for the front wheel inside the car was always problematic when I have a lot of other cargo.I’ve set off on several trips with the front wheel in this rack and every time I’ve had to stop within 15 min and put the wheel inside the car. The wheel undergoes a ton of side to side movement in this rack and at highway speeds the movement is so severe I worry about damage to the wheel or the rack vibrating itself right off the car. I have wide aero bars and and they provide plenty of stable clamping surface for this rack but it still sways and vibrates so much with a wheel in it that I have decided to stop using it.

Works well. Easy to mount, accepts key cores to lock the rack on the roof, holds wheel securely. I especially like that there’s no assembly required and the retention strap for extra security.Of course these end up rotating on the bars (even square bars) so your wheel is resting on the roof , no matter how much you tighten them down. If you’re like me and care more about your bike than the paint on your car, not a big deal.I do wish it had a mechanism to lock the wheel to the rack. Currently I carry a cable lock in the vehicle in case I need to stop somewhere.

Used the Yakima thru axle converter so I could use this with my MTB. The Thru Axle converter was a piece of garbage and the end screw came off and completely flew off the wheel while I was driving on the freeway! The Anti-spin, plastic wheel holder kept the wheel secured until I was able to get off at the next exit. Literally the only thing holding my wheel to my roof. HIGHLY recommend if you have a QR wheel otherwise DO NOT USE THE RECOMMEND YAKIMA THRU AXLE. Still can't believe a piece of plastic could hold my wheel securely at freeway speeds but the fully metal thru-axle adapter couldn't.

Fits perfect on top! Holds my wheel nice and snug. It seems very sturdy! I am interested to see how it Les on the highway. I have the beefy Schwalbe Magic Marry 29er, no issues with space!

Nice and simple front wheel holder. Finally used this for the first time on a trip to the Blue Ridge mountains, and it was super easy to get on the racks and get the wheel in. Love having both the lower strap as well as the wheel through bolt.

on my OEM VW racks. Not really universal. I can see it working very nicely on aero, round, and square bars hence my 3 star rating. Looks like good quality.

This would be a great product on their Aero bar but on the Round bar not so much. Almost impossible to get it tight enough to not have the carrier and wheel rotate backwards with that tell tale "thump" as the wheel hits the rooftop.

Haven't had a chance to use it yet but it installed easily enough on Thule racks. The lock keeps the wheel house from being stolen but you'll need a separate lock and cable to protect the wheel. That or just chuck it in the trunk.
