Got these to replace some really well-rated, US-made cleats. Cleats are falling out; THO, we do too much on pavement. These are working wonderfully so far.Easy to put on; they stay on, and in place. Grip is good; I'm not sliding when others without are. Will get diamond trax for next one but these are doing the J O B now.Boot: 13 mens

I wanted these for running, but honestly I don't think they're made for that. Or, they're not made for me using them for that. Walking of them is fine, but it's a learning curve as your stride isn't the same. Multiply that for endurance running. And paths aren't always consistent with snow / ice coverage, so moving from there to plain wet asphalt is not great. These are well made and I'll use them for dog walking in winter, but it's a no-go on running in them - a least for me.

Exactly as described. These provided the exact traction we needed for these bad Midwest winters. These worked perfectly!! Zero issues or complaints. Fit as expected and have last all season so far.

Large size fit my men's size 10.5 shoes and boots well. Easy to go on and off, fit snugly enough to stay on. Provides nice extra traction on crunchy snow - haven't been on ice yet (that I know of!). Overall, these work pretty much as I expected (loosely comparable to car chains), so if you're looking for some additional grip on your shoes this is probably a good way to go.On the downside, I'm not sure how many seasons these will get, especially if wearing them regularly. They seem sturdy enough now, but I don't see them lasting for years and years. On the upside, super low profile, easy to store and/or stash away in the car. Less uncomfortable and awkward to walk in than I expected, but you can definitely feel them when you're walking where there isn't snow.

I have used these as needed for many years and they are unbearable for walking and working on ice. I tore one of mine during a recent ice/snow storm and ordered a new pair for myself and one for my wife. The sizing chart on the box is different from the one in the detail photos with the product. I ordered a medium and a large by the product info chart and might need to exchange the large for a small according to the box. Be careful on the size you order. I ordered for 11 mens and 7.5 women's for reference. These are the best when it comes to walking on ice.

I've had many, many yaktraxs before. So let's talk a bit about them and these, my past experiences, and why my other ones did a good job but these are a huge improvement. I'll give a little summary at the bottom if you want to skip to the important parts.Initially, I've use them for walking on icy pavement and snowy pavement, both when shoveling snow on my properly, or going into work when the parking lot is wet, slippery, and not yet treated. I put them right over my leather sole dress shoes, or if I am wearing a rubber dress shoe over, over that. They do not damage dress shoes and even a soft leather bottom. I also use them hiking over my hiking boots when the trials are slippery and icy, or where I am going on trials that can be dangerous or need more traction. These do an EXCELLENT job keep traction, even in the muddy soil because of the cross-pattern of the coils. If you are wearing yaktraxs, you are NOT SLIPPING. It is not possible! They work so well.BUT, you need to take them off as soon as you get to pavement that is no snowy or icy, as they will wear down the product. You also need to take them off inside immediately. You might be able to take a step or two on carpet, but if you try to step on a stone floor or hard surface, you will slide on the coils and fall. So take them off outside on the pavement or right by the door (this means carrying your shoes with you). Now, you might be asking yourself why have I had so many Yaktraxs? That's because my other models unfortunately wear down over time and I pretty much use them all winter being from upstate NY, and we also hike A LOT. Even once they fail, you can usually still use them until a second side fails on the front or back, then it is done. What I mean by fail, is that the connections that cross under your foot and come back to the toes or heel, that connection always fails. Usually it is the front ones for me too, almost always the outside one and then the inside one on the front.HOWEVER, these Yaktrax PRO ones are a little different. The rubber is much thicker and a more sturdy material that is less stretchy and more stout. I think that is why these are a little more money than the normal Yaktrax, but I also think that is why these will probably last much longer because the areas where they fail are not weak anymore. Thus, I would highly recommend the PRO version instead of the regular one, as you pay for what you get. These are great! Also note that yaktrax come with a carrying case that you can put the wet ones in too, and the velcro is well made and doesn't get funky in the wet snow or mud either, it definitely works through the worst of conditions (not your regular velcro). Thus, we strongly recommend these! In summary:- PRO - won't damage soft leather dress shoe soles with the coils- PRO - you just won't slip, it is just not a thing with yaktrax, even on black ice or thick, old ice- PRO - fits over dress shoes, sneakers, or big hiking boots- CON - don't use on non-snowy or non-icy surfaces- CON - don't use indoors on far surfaces, you will fall almost instantly- PRO - comes with carrying case- CON - older pairs I have had did fail after 1-2 seasons, but you can still use them until two sides fail- PRO - this version is the PRO version and is much stronger and improved on the areas where my old ones had failed- PRO - very strong velcro and wraps that work perfectly in all conditions somehow- CON - expensive for added footwear that goes over your boots that you already paid for to have a strong grip, but these work much, much better- PRO - easy on and off, nice loops in the front of the toes- PRO - THEY WORK even in the iciest and uneven of ground, these just DIG IN perfectly and work so, so well!Overall, strong recommendation for this improved version. Don't get the other versions, pay the little bit of extra money for the PRO model here because these work better and are just much, much thicker and stronger -- you can feel the difference immediately. Being that we are in upstate NY and are really testing these things, this is an excellent basis for a review because we really put them through a lot of cold, snowy, and icy conditions. GREAT product!

These Yaktrax traction cleats are lightweight and easy to put on and take off. The rubber parts are on the thin side but seem sturdy. The coils are less damaging to surfaces that those with spikes, but I miss the spikes for that extra layer of grab. The coils, being steel, may rust if not cared for, and may also tend to gradually flatten if used on ice or other surfaces with no give. They are very slippery on other surfaces, so be sure to take them off immediately when coming indoors. The included carry bag and carabiner are useful additions.
