My daughter is an avid crocheter. So she always has a lot of yarn. The same day she got this, she had it connected to the coffee table and had almost all of her yarns properly wound by the end of the evening. It was so easy to set up, stayed tightly to the table, worked exactly as expected. The extra crochet tools were a wonderful bonus that really helps her in her smaller projects.

Will not support a full skeins. Will not stay mounted on any surface. If you have a partial skein it works great. Not for silky skeins.

I bought this product because I have had a lot of donations of yarn 50 lbs. I have 4 ply, silky acrylics, and acrylics. The product works well for half rolls of yarn. Not good for whole rolls. It is not a hard product to use. But it is not as good as I would have hoped for. But it is decent for the price. Good luck

j'ai rajouté un disque cartoné pour sortir la pelote de laine plus facilement à la fin.il faut faire attention quand on enroule que la laine ne glisse pas dans le rouage,mais si on fait attention à ce qu'on fait c'est super !!bien plus rapide qu'à la main,je préfère quand on peut tirer la laine depuis le milieu de la pelote en tricotant donc je m'en sers quand je n'arrive pas à trouver le bout au centre d'une pelote ou que j'ai un reste à remettre en pelote.

Yarn keeps getting caught in between pieces. It’s really hard to use. Only having luck with very textured yarn. Anything smooth just becomes a mess

This ball winder is a time saver! When I finish a project and still have half a skein of yarn, rather than putting the floppy empty skein somewhere and hoping it doesn't tangle - I just wind it up into a cake that I can pull from the center! It makes storing my used yarn so much easier! This machine is easy to use and it only takes a couple minutes to get a cake made. The cakes are much easier to store too. I don't know how I existed without this tool! A must have for any yarn artist!
