Like others, am having a hard time getting this seasoned so that food doesn't stick. Have followed directions to the letter, 3 times, and it still sticks. Aggravating. Also, you have to be very careful that you don't touch the metal part of the handle that is between the wood part and the wok, as it gets VERY hot. Love the size of the wok and it heats up quickly, easy to cook in, except for having to deal with it sticking. Did I just get a bad one or is this the true norm?

I bought this wok for my son's birthday and he loves it!We love it because he makes great meals with it.Buy it! You won't be disappointed.It has a handle, a grip on the other side, made to work on glass top stove and has a beautiful top.

This is well made, strong handle that stays cool to the touch, even when I’ve got the wok screaming hot. It did take a while to get it seasoned right. The manual that comes with the wok tells you a few ways to season the surface, including a basic, traditional, and advanced methods. The traditional method uses raw pork lard which, for me, is not so easy to come by. But if you can get it than it may be worth a try. I used the basic oil method and had to repeat the process 5-6 times before the surface had nonstick properties.It is very nice looking, even after the carbon steel’s blue has darkened. The wooden handle adds a pleasant aesthetic and compliments the steel finish. The lid is also very cool. The wooden lid is attractive and fits the opening snugly.The cooking quality is excellent too. I haven’t seen any uneven heating or warping. For stir frying, where I heat the wok to the highest temp I’m able to, I’ve had perfect results.If you need an affordable wok that performs well and looks great, this is good choice.

The wok didn’t come with a lid. So, knowing that our kids were going to have to have it for their cooking in the wok I got it.They have not had a chance to cook in the wok yet though.We will have to wait and see what they say after they use the wok and lid.I’m certain it’s going to be fine and will taste great too!
