It was super easy install and works well, instead of spinning out from the rear of the truck being light it locks and seems to put down power pretty evenly between the two tires.

I ordered and installed this back in July of this year (2023). Yesterday (9/30/23) was the first time I had a chance to drive my car since the installation. Overall it drove well and the unit behaved nicely. I went to our local drag strip to run a no prep race. After 2 qualifying passes we went to first round. The diff broke on the starting line. My car is a 1998 Z-28, 6 speed, LS1, 4.30 gears, Moser axles, MSD 2 Step set at 2500 RPM’s. Each pass, I left soft due to no compound being put down and was water burnout only. Long story short, this unit is not up for drag racing.

This review is for the gm 7.5 28 I purchased this product in July 2020 it is now April 2022. I’ve probably got less than 7000 miles on the rear end and I’ve noticed that I have a one will wander again! Not sure if the clutch pack is worn out already or what is going on? I have contacted the manufacturer and they basically said that for The GM 7.5 the clutch packs are so small there’s not a lot of friction material, basically worthless in my opinion. If I would’ve known that I probably would’ve went with the powertrax unit The clutch kit is 150 bucks I might just decide to take it out and go with a different unit. Hopefully this helps somebody not waste their money for this particular rear end ( 7.5 28 ) reading through the reviews I see that other people with larger diffs are having similar problems

I tow with this all the time in my S-10. Definitely made a difference in get up and go compared to my old open differential. Very nice product. Highly recommend it. Took less than 5 days to get here, when it said it would take 2 weeks! Very impressed with the quality work.
