I wanted a 6 in taper mold to make beeswax candles. Pros: I can make 6 at a time and the candle mold is stable. The con is that they are not smooth inside. The candles do not have a real smooth surface because of this. The candles still look okay, but would be better if they were smooth.

Es un molde muy dificil de usar, no se puede desmoldear por ser tan duro y rigido. Quede inconforme con el producto y no lo he podido volver a utilizar, ya que me toco volver a derretir la cera y usar otro molde. No es funcional.

This was my first time using a mold for taper candles so I was a bit nervous reading the reviews saying they could not get the candles out. I was also not sure how I was going to thread the wicks through. I used pure beeswax for reference and first of all, the wax shrunk slightly once it hardened so pulling them out of the mold was near effortless for me. Really the only resistance was the wick coming through the bottom side of the silicone, I didn't even lubricate the inside of the mold. As far as threading the wick I made a makeshift "needle" by folding floral wire in half (make sure your 'needle' is taller than the mold) and twisting it so that it had an "eye" to thread the wick through. I then held the mold up to the ceiling light so that I could see where the ponts of the candle tops were so I knew where to poke it through. Once through it was very easy to pull it up through the mold. I'm so happy I took a chance on this mold, and thankful for the other reviewer who used them for beeswax, that sealed the deal for me! I also love that you can make 6 at a time rather than just one or two like the hard plastic kind. Very happy with the outcome of these candles!

My husband and I do 18th century reenactments so we always need good candles for our lanterns. A few years ago, I started dipping beeswax candles the traditional way, but it takes FOREVER. I bought this mold to speed up the process and it was so easy to use!!!! I used an upholstery needle to poke the wick holes, threaded the wick through, poured in the wax, and out came beautiful candles!!!! Soooo much quicker than hand-dipping them!!!! I didn’t even need to lubricate the mold. The candles came out so clean. I gifted some for Christmas and everyone loved them.

This was the easiest mold I have ever used !My candles came out beautiful and easy.I washed the mold, sprayed it with a silicone spray and threaded the wick with a LONG needle (easy to get at a craft store). I stabilized the wicks with clothes pins.I have been making candles for many years using my family antique metal molds... they are TOUGH to use. These were truly a delight !And yes, you have to poke your own hole to pull the wick through.Easy peasy !

Poked wick holes in the bottom, oiled the mold, filled with wax, centered wicks, put in freezer. Took a little time and pushing from the bottom to slide them out but worth it. May add slits on the sides for easier removal next time but overall a good mold.

They would be great candles but if you use all 6 holes it's impossible to remove them. Your better off spending the money on individual molds and less likely to have a complete melt down while trying to enjoy your hobby.

Love this mold. The candles it produces are sturdy and have a thick base. Perfect size for dinner or divination candles. I used jewelry wire with a loop to thread my wick through the long holes. The finished shape is beautiful. No leaks. Sturdy mold. Removal was tricky to get down. Ive molded over 60 candles and the mold is still intact and sturdy. The seamless shape makes it worth the time it takes to remove each candle. Will purchase again.
