Love this egg slicer. It's built well and should last for years. Easy to clean by hand or dishwasher. Slices eggs cleanly in two ways: cross section and wedges. Great for salads or hors d'oeuvres.

Solid, not like my older zyliss egg slicer. I haven’t used the egg piercing feature yet but look forward to easier to peel boiled eggs.

At the end of the day it is just an egg slicer. Obviously I could have gotten another one but I don't think it would have been done as well as this one is.

This is a fabulous product: very well-made, and easy to use and the rubberized feet keep it in place. Highly recommend this product!

This sleek egg slicer works well for both slices and wedges. It washes well in the dishwasher and does not collect water like other egg slicers. Cutting wires are taught and sturdy.

I have no idea why people are saying it doesn't cut all the way down. I've been using mine for a few months now and have had no issues with anything. Love the little thing that peirces the egg, the shells are so easy to remove now. Great product, easy to use and dishwasher safe

I like that this egg slicer has two options for types of slices. I most often use both for egg salads, and it works wonderfully. It's also very easy to clean. Absolutely no issues.

We are on Keto now and we eat a LOT of eggs. I mean a LOT. Like keeping a farmer in business singlehandedly. A large number of these are boiled eggs, because let's face it, hard boiled eggs are nature's perfect snack. Protein, nutrients, convenient packaging, delicious with salt? What's better? But I digress.Somebody put my old-as-the-hills aluminum egg slicer in the dishwasher, and since I don't like my eggs dusted with aluminum, it was time to find a new slicer. This one fills the bill.Specifics: Egg piercer. Use this to poke the fat end of your eggs before boiling. This removes that bubble inside and helps keep them from cracking. It works well, and it is designed so you have to specifically push on it for the poker to poke out. That way you don't have the poker sticking out all the time. But don't press on it with your finger.Egg slicer: Very easy to use and does a nice job.Egg wedge cutter: Now here is something I haven't had before, and I love it. How nice to be able to have wedges for salads instead of always slices! The only issue is you have to remember to put the slicer DOWN before using the wedge cutter. It works great -- just need to follow the instructions!Cleaning: The whole thing goes in the dishwasher. Yay!Sturdiness: Did I mention, we eat a lot of eggs? This thing has already gotten a lot of use and it is holding up just fine. If anything does ever happen to it, I will most certainly buy another just like it.Overall, I highly recommend this slicer.

I love hard boiled eggs and have them for breakfast most days, sliced on whole wheat toast.. I did endless research on how to cook the perfect hard boiled egg (bring to a boil in cold water, take off the heat, cover the pot and let sit for 12 minutes), but could never achieve the perfect sliced eggs. Finally the lightbulb went off and I decided to buy an egg slicer. When I started my search I realized I could also get something that would slice eggs in wedges for my composed salads, so of course I wanted that. But that seemed to add a lot of bulk to the item until I saw this Zyliss. Perfect! Ingenious design. When I received it and read the instructions, I saw that there was an egg piercer that was supposed to stop the eggs from cracking when you boil them. It seemed like a crazy idea, how would making a hole in the egg not cause the egg to seep iout? But there was always one or two eggs in a dozen that cracked, so I decided to try it. I was surprised to discover that the piercing was extremely minimal, you couldn't really see a hole in the egg, although you can hear a faint cracking sound when you lightly press down on the needle area. So my fears of egg leakage were put to rest. One egg developed a small hairline crack that was visible on close inspection, but the egg didn't open up and egg white come bubbling out like it usually did. What did happen though was that every single egg peeled perfectly and easily. The ones I opened immediately, and every one I opened after refrigerating. I tapped lightly on the large end where I had peeled it and there seemed to be a little air pocket. This made the peel there come away easily with the membrane and every egg was perfect. HALLELULJAH! It's silly but true, I wake up every morning now, excited to make breakfast. It's the little things folks. Life is tough, making eggs doesn't have to be! By the way, you'll notice in the picture that there is no green ring around the yolk of my hard-boiled egg. That's because the boiling method works! Let my internet research help you....
